If you're in need of a new show to watch as the weather gets colder, look no further! I have compiled a list of my favorite shows to binge-watch on a chilly fall or winter day. Almost all of these shows are on Netflix, so you can binge-watch anytime!

1. The Office

The Office is a comedy about an office branch of a paper company, and if you haven't seen it, go watch it. The Office is a hilarious and witty show and you won't regret watching an entire season in one day.

2. Gilmore Girls

Gilmore Girls is a comedy starring a mother-daughter duo living in a small town in Connecticut. After watching Gilmore Girls, you'll want to meet for coffee at Luke's Diner with the whole Stars Hollow gang. There is also a Gilmore Girls revival coming to Netflix towards the end of November.

3. Lost

Lost is a show about a group of people on a plane that crash on a mysterious island. It is an interesting mystery that is sure to keep you on the edge of your seat. I binge-watched Lost a few summers ago in just one month.

4. Parks and Recreation

Parks and Recreation follows the Parks and Recreation department in the quirky, Pawnee, Indiana. Parks and Recreation is one of my all time favorite shows. Even though I have re-watched it countless time, the jokes are still so funny in this mockumentary style comedy.

5. Once Upon A Time

Once Upon A Time is an enchanting show about fairytale characters living in our world. There is true love, family, and, of course, magic. I've watched Once Upon A Time since it aired in 2011 and I'm still under its spell.

6. Psych

Psych is a comedy about a "psychic" detective who works for the Santa Barbara Police Department with his best friend. Psych is a great show that never fails to make me laugh. Psych is a unique light-hearted crime show.

7. Prison Break

Prison Break is a about two brothers who get themselves into a bad situation and have to find a way out. I just recently started watching Prison Break, and even though I am only on season two, I already know that it is going to be one of my favorite shows. There are many plot twists and you never know what's going to happen next...

8. Agent Carter

Agent Carter is set in the 1940s and follows Agent Peggy Carter in the Marvel universe and ties in to many Marvel movies. Agent Carter is also one of my favorite shows. I love that it is set in the 1940s and Peggy Carter is a strong female character that young girls can look up to.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
