Winter break is every college student's dream come true. Sleeping, adventure, (usually) no class work. It's the best time of the year. It's also Christmas and New Years, and the time for revolutions. Winter break is also a time to start and finish some binge-worthy TV shows. Here are my top _.
1. "Peaky Blinders"
A show starring Cillian Murphy (Batman Trilogy), Sam Neill ("Jurassic Park") and Tom Hardy ("Mad Max"). It's a Netflix Original series about a British gang trying to go legit and they have a long bumpy road that causes some major difficulty. It's a great show that reminds me of "Sons of Anarchy" with Charlie Hunnam and Ron Perlman, except they aren't motorcycle gangs and it's based entirely in Europe and it's in the 1920s.
2. "Luke Cage"
Who doesn't love attractive people with the heart of gold and who also happens to be invincible? Luke Cage is a great story about a man who was on the wrong side of the tracks but he was turned around and became a superhero, Wolverine style (because it was pretty much the same thing...).
3. "Jessica Jones"
Another Netflix Original about a super awesome heroine who kicks butt and solves crimes. She's a little rusty around the edges but she's great to watch!
4. "The Walking Dead"
If you're not already hooked on this show, please try it. Zombies, attractive people, survival. It has it all. The plot thickens and it's tastefully suspenseful. Netflix has the first six seasons and the seventh is airing now on AMC.
5. "Gotham"
Super (and not so super) heroes are in and I think I've made it clear how much I love them. The DC universe is expanded and given some light on the beginning of Gotham's worst criminals and the famed vigilante. This show also has attractive people doing awesome things (shooting guns, fighting with their fists, hero stuff). Netflix has seasons one and two and the third is airing now on Fox and streaming on Hulu.
