Who Should Play DC Heroes?

Even though "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice" hasn't even hit theaters yet, Warner Brothers is already planning a slew of films to release over the next few years. In addition to The Trinity (Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman), actors have already been cast for The Flash (Ezra Miller), Aquaman (Jason Momoa), and Cyborg (Ray Fisher) and all have been announced to have solo films. There are many DC characters that have not been cast yet, many who have not even been announced to be used yet, but here are a few ideas for who DC might use in the future.

Billy Batson/Shazam ( ???/Tom Welling)

With it announced that Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson playing Black Adam, there needs to be an actor that can be as physically imposing as The Rock to play Shazam. Tom Welling has been in superhero related media before, as he played Clark Kent on the hit show "Smallville". Some might Sure Welling would have to bulk up a bit, but he could still stand up to Black Adam. Would make the "David and Goliath" battle between Shazam and Black Adam all the more powerful. (Note: I'm not knowledgeable about child actors so I have NO IDEA who could be 10 year old Billy Batson)

Oliver Queen/Green Arrow (Armie Hammer)

Armie Hammer would be the perfect Green Arrow (sans the ridiculous facial hair). Armie has the Oliver Queen attractiveness as well as the capacity to pull off being Green Arrow. Also, after seeing "The Man From U.N.C.L.E." we know that he has great chemistry with Henry Cavill, who already plays Superman. That being said, I would love the potential quips between Green Arrow and Superman.

Carter Hall/Hawkman (Liam McIntyre)

Liam McIntyre screams Hawkman. The brutality that he acted with on the show "Spartacus" would be welcome in regards to playing Hawkman. Hawkman is often accompanied by his wife, Shayeira (otherwise known as Hawkgirl), but her presence in these movies would not only be unnecessary, but also likely a good move and could contribute to the general tone. Given the general tones that "Man of Steel" took and "Batman vs. Superman" has taken, Liam is by far the best choice.

Jon Stewart/Green Lantern (Idris Elba)

John Stewart is the Green Lantern we grew up with. I remember watching the "Justice League" cartoon as a kid and I remember the wit of John Stewart. Idris Elba is the perfect balance of wit and badassery to be Green Lantern. Fans want it, Idris Elba wants the role (also wants out of Marvel), everyone wants Idris Elba to be Green Lantern. Warner Brothers, MAKE.....THIS....HAPPEN!

Booster Gold (Nathan Fillion)

I am uncertain as to whether Booster Gold would even be used in DC films. If the character was used in the right way, he could fit in perfectly in the DC Film Universe. A lot of people might say that Fillion is too old. I would direct them to Robert Downey Jr., Don Cheadle, Ben Affleck.....my point is you're only as old as you feel and Nathan Fillion has been able to retain his humor as well as his charm during his career.

Zatanna Zatara (Ariel Winter)

Another character that I am unsure would be used, but I am positive that if she was included, she would be a fantastic addition to an interesting collection of characters. Zatanna would be a good starting point for bringing the more supernatural side to DC, bringing other characters such as Dr. Fate to the big screen.

Dick Grayson/Nightwing (Garrett Hedlund)

Dick Grayson. The original Robin. In the material that has been released for "Batman vs. Superman", there has been Robin whose suit we see, but we don't know WHICH Robin this is from. Sure, the obvious endpoint is that it is from Jason Todd, but we can't be sure until that information is released. Assuming the dead Robin is Jason Todd, Garrett Hedlund should be Nightwing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
