To my grandparent(s) up in heaven,

I want to tell you that even though you're gone, you're still with me. I still think of you when something good happens and wonder if you had anything to do with it. And when I want something to go my way, I pray to you and ask you to help me out. I want you to know you'll always be in my life, and I'll always look up to you. Because you taught me life lessons mom and dad couldn't teach me in the same way. You taught me how to be tough, but also how to unconditionally love and give.

As a child, I may not remember all of my times with you, but I know you remembered all of them. You held my hand, you helped me up when I fell down. You taught me that life isn't always going to give you want you want. You have to work for it, and to keep working for it until I reached my full potential.

I still remember the last time I saw you, and I wish I would have given you an extra big hug and told you how much I love you. And yet, even though I didn't get that opportunity, I still feel you with me - looking out for me, making sure everything is going to be OK.

So, thank you, for doing everything you possibly could to make my life better. Thank you for being there up until you couldn't anymore. I hope when you watch over me, I make you proud, because I loved you more than you ever knew.

To my grandparent(s) still kickin' it,

I want to take this time to apologize. For not calling you every time I have the chance, or visiting you as much as I could. I want you to know that even if I don't talk to you every day, I still think about you and wonder how you are. I hope you're doing well and enjoying your life to the fullest.

I miss how close we used to be, and how much time we used to spend together. I miss the smell of your house, and how there was always something cooking. I miss our talks and all the laughs. I want to have those times again, sometime soon. I realize now that time is precious, and it should be spent enjoying the people who may not always be around forever.

I hope you are proud of me and everything I've done. I hope you know all those life lessons you've taught me are remembered and fully enforced every chance they can be. I know the way you raised mom and dad was different than the way you've helped raise me (yes, I've heard stories how strict you were), and I appreciate that (and I feel bad for mom and dad).

I want you to know you deserve all the best. You're an amazing person inside and out, and I wouldn't be the way I am today if it wasn't in part for you. You are special, you are unique, you are loved and will be, forever and always.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.

Top 10 Reasons My School Rocks!

Why I Chose a Small School Over a Big University.

I was asked so many times why I wanted to go to a small school when a big university is so much better. Don't get me wrong, I'm sure a big university is great but I absolutely love going to a small school. I know that I miss out on big sporting events and having people actually know where it is. I can't even count how many times I've been asked where it is and I know they won't know so I just say "somewhere in the middle of Wisconsin." But, I get to know most people at my school and I know my professors very well. Not to mention, being able to walk to the other side of campus in 5 minutes at a casual walking pace. I am so happy I made the decision to go to school where I did. I love my school and these are just a few reasons why.
