If you’re anything like myself, shopping is a guilty pleasure. While I love shopping at a large, chain store, shopping at small shops gives me such a joy. When you shop small, you are investing in someone’s dream.
One of my favorite small shops is an online store called Dawson Trail. Dawson Trail was founded by a good friend of mine, Austin Lee. Dawson is a small dot on the map in Northeast Alabama. Austin says that he has always wanted to start a clothing company and the beauty of Dawson helped bring his dream to life. Every design is inspired by the wildlife and scenery of Dawson, Alabama. For example, every shirt has 2 birds on it, which symbolize the 2 hawks that are flying around every morning when Austin wakes up.
Dawson Trail sells 5 different shirt designs, as well as hats, bracelets, and watches. On the farm shirt, the barn has "Built 1952," which was painted on the inside of an old barn Austin's great-grandfather built.
Supporting this business means supporting a small town boy's dream and the story behind his company. So when you shop this holiday season, shop small and shop Dawson Trail.
Make sure to follow them on Facebook and Instagram at Dawson Trail Outfitters!
