And it's days like today she misses him the most. Days when the sun is out but there are snowflakes floating in the air, and it reminds her of how he once was; so warm, yet so, so cold. Don't mistake her for some hopeless romantic when it comes to him, though. She is much more than that. She knows exactly what she deserves, and does not need anyone, especially him, to remind her of that.
She shines brightly when she believes no one is watching, and no one needs to tell her that. She just knows. It takes a whole lot out of someone to be faced with deciphering just exactly how much effort they're worth, and she made sure that she got it right; a lot of effort. You see, when you are taken for granted, even just once, it changes you as a person. Some take it and let it break them apart into bits and pieces, but others take it and let it hide along with every doubt they have ever had about themselves- and these are the people you want in your life- the ones that know how to recover, and know what to say when you're feeling down, and know exactly what it will take for you to give up, and that is nothing. Nothing will ever make her give up. She is a fighter and she doesn't need anyone to tell her that.
