Having older siblings is great and all but having an older brother is something spectacular on its own. There is so,so many reasons why older brothers are the best but for the mean time. Here are seven reasons why having an older brother is the absolute best.
1.) Free of charge body guard
Having an older brother is like having a free body guard. He will do everything in his power to protect you. God forbid someone else take his job of making fun of you. He will not let anyone hurt you or do you wrong.
2.) A Best friend
You get a best friend without even trying really. I mean you know each other from birth and you literally share everything.
3.) They won't steal your clothes
Sisters tend to fight over simple things like clothes. However, having an older brother means he won't steal your favorite dress. And plus you never have to worry about wearing the same thing. Unless your parents decide y'all need to match, which is awful.
4.) You learn how to be a responsible adult.
They teach you the necessities in life that you'd typically depend on a guy for. That way you never have to depend on a guy to come save the day. For example. He'll teach you to change your oil, cut the grass, check your tire pressure, fix the things that need it. Kinda like the time where I was taught how to fix a hole in the wall after a certain mishap.
5.) Y'all have a long list of secrets
Seriously. I can't think of how many secrets we have kept from our mom. There's just way too many to even begin counting.
6.) Grown up adventures
When one of you or both of you have moved out and started your lives it gets sad. You are not kids anymore but that never stops the fun. Now you get to go spend the night at his house and your mom trusts y'all enough to behave the right way without worrying.
7.) You have a hero.
I don't know about y'all but my older brother is my role model and my hero. Everything he does is special. I look up to him every single day, figuratively and literally. There is nothing in the world that can break the bond between a big brother and his little sister and I love that so very much.
