The Seven Friends You Meet In College

From your first day on campus to your final walk at graduation, there are a number of people you will meet. Here is a list of the seven different friends that you will have throughout your college experience.

1. Your roommates.

They will probably be your first friends in college that you will go to everything with. They will see you at your absolute best and your absolute worst. Your roommates will be the ones to make sure you get home safely and at a reasonable time, so you can cuddle on the couch and watch Netflix before bed.

2. Friend with a car.

This is an important friend to have, especially during your freshman year. This friend will guarantee you trips to the mall and Chipotle when it is below 50 degrees. Your bike will only get you so far, meaning no freeways, no rain, and definitely no snow.

3. Your classmates.

These are the friends you meet in class that usually have a similar major as you. It is important to befriend these people since at some point you will probably need them to send you the homework assignment at 11 p.m. that is due in class the next day. Overall, they will also make class and group work more enjoyable.

4. Party friends.

Your friends who you text on Friday night when you finally decide that you should get out for the first time in a month. These are the friends who always know what parties are happening and will always go to them with you. Some of your craziest college memories probably happened with them.

5. Drunk BFFs.

We all have those friends who we met at the party either in the bathroom or taking shots alongside one another. These are the friends you will spend the rest of your night randomly dancing and laughing with. You will rarely see these friends in daylight, but when you do it will probably be slightly awkward. A big thanks to all the drunk BFFs out there though, because parties would not be the same without you.

6. Your sorority sisters.

This group can include some of your best friends and also some people that you have only spoken to a few times. No matter what, these are the friends who will always be there for you throughout your college experience. Whether it is just a casual hang out, a person to study with in the library, or even someone to take you to the airport at five in the morning, these girls will be your home away from home.

7. Your BFFs.

These are the friends who will truly make college the best time of your life. You will have so many ups and downs, but at the end of the day, you don't know how you could have done it without them. They are your true soulmates and your future bridesmaids and together you will share some amazing memories.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
