A Series That Changed My Life.

Who would have know a book series I encountered as a child would still hold as much if not more appreciation ad an adult?

A Series That Changed My Life.

One work of literature has stood the test of time for me. If one would have asked me years ago my love for this series, I would have thought them mad. In middle school, I introduced myself to this series when I went into the library and found the biggest book I could find. The purpose of finding this novel was just to get accelerated reading points. If you're not aware of what those points would be, it would be that as part of your literature course you've read books and then you took a test and that test points what do they raise your grade or on you or earn in the classroom. Well, in middle school, I wasn't the greatest reading student. I kinda goofed off there for a point and on my midterm I had a failing grade! This series had been in the news for being banned in some middle schools because of content. Some parents felt that it would corrupt their children because it dealt with witchcraft Wizardry and those parents thought that it was associated with the Devil. However, and all of my years of reading books and novels at the age of 22, I have not found another work of literature that has held such a great love for me. Even as an adult, the book series Harry Potter, holds such great value to me that everytime it comes on television or at least once a year I reread the entire series. For me Harry Potter has changed my life. It has opened so many thought processes and awakened so many outlooks on the world that I might not have had before. The book series holds so many deep meanings of friendship and loyalty and perseverance and going against the grain and going against what is deemed normal. Harry Potter teaches young kids that it's okay to stand up for what you believe it's right it's okay to stand up against and Harry Potter's case great evil and I feel like expecially today this book series needs to be red and needs to become a classic because so many situations that Harry Potter experiences while in a fictional world, can relate to our modern day Society. For some reading Harry Potter it's just a book. But for people like me it's so much more. Harry Potter continues to grow so many people for the first time even today and you're always looking back on the series and experiencing new things. It's not a series to be read once. It's a series to be read multiple times and experience new adventures every single time. As a 22 year old adult, but the child, this book is probably the most important things besides friends and family that I have and I will continue to love this series forever. So if you read this article, and experience Harry Potter love the same way I do I would love to engage in conversation with someone about this book. I continue to learn about myself society and so much more every time I read the series and I will be forever grateful for the author who wrote this Book.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
