From classics, and remakes, to new aged horror, every now and then everyone needs a good scare, throughout the years there have been some amazing horror films that have come out, and some that are a lot better than they're made out to be, but since Rotten Tomatoes or IMDB gives them a bad rating, people don't think its worth the time, or the money to go out and see it. So, here are - in my opinion - some of the best horror films that have come out over the last few decades. Let's see if we can tap into your greatest fears.

1. 'Halloween' - 1978 - 2016

As Halloween draws closer, Michael Myers is out waiting for whoever is unsuspecting, and if you're not aware, then it's already to late.

2. 'The Exorcist' - 1973

Considered "one of the most profitable horror films ever made" a young girl is possessed by the devil, and the church must act quickly before she's truly lost.

3. 'Scream' - 1996

"What's your favorite scary movie?"

4. 'The Shining' - 1980

"Here's Johnny!"

5. 'The Texas Chainsaw Massacre' - 1974 / 2013

Based partly off the true story of a horrific set of murders committed by Ed Gein in Texas, this film is a gore fest, and isn't recommended for the weak stomach. However, if you'd like insight into the actual events, they can be found here.

6. 'A Nightmare on Elm Street' - 1984 - 2010

"One, two, Freddy's coming for you, three, four, better lock the door, five, six, grab your crucifix, seven, eight, can you stay up late? nine, ten, never sleep again."

7. "The Blair Witch Project' - 1999

One of the first original "found footage" horror films, as college film students get lost in the woods while making a documentary of a local murderer, but things take a frightening turn.

8. "The Silence of the Lambs / Hannibal' - 1991 - 2002

"Hello Clarice"

9. 'Friday the 13th' 1980 - 2016

A movie thats been remade numerous times throughout the years, each time finding new ways to shock you, and keep you on the edge of your seat.

10. 'Saw I-V' 2004 - 2010

From James Wan, this series is all the diabolical work of Jig-Saw, a twisted individual who found people who have done wrong, and give them an option, either mutilate themselves in a way that'll save them, or die in the most horrific way possible.

11. 'Poltergeist' - 1982 / 2015

Finding the house of your dreams will be amazing, but do some research to make sure you aren't upsetting anyone who has been there previously, alive or dead, or you may not be there very long.

12. 'When a Stranger Calls' - 1979 - 2006

Overall, the original version of this film makes the remake look like an episode of Blues Clue, "Holy s***, if you aren't on the verge of s****g your pants through the first 20 minutes in this film, you must already be dead".

13. 'It' - 1990

Everyone's, including the great Stephan Kings, favorite clown, but remember, even though he seems friendly, if you see a hand reach up the drain in your bathroom, run as fast as you can, but always be on the lookout, because it wont be long till "It's back"

14. The Descent - 2005

If tight and pitch black spaces scare you, imagine that with a sub-human like species running around to add to your fears. Just a tip, whenever you go exploring, especially in a cave marked with, "Danger, Do Not Enter" either don't go in, or go with someone who's done it before.

15. Dead Silence - 2007

"Beware the stare of Mary Shaw, she has no children only dolls, and if you see her, be sure you never ever scream, or she'll rip your tongue out at the seam.

If you aren't a fan of old creepy looking dolls, I'd stay away from this one, because you'll encounter one at every turn.

16. Trick 'r Treat - 2007

Halloween is supposed to be a fun time of the year for young kids, but if you have a crazy bus driver, and you parents pay him to kill you, they better hope that you have no way to come back.

17. 'The Woman' - 2011

Probably one of the more twisted movies I've seen, a family captures a young women who is part of a cult, and tries to tame her in their basement, but when things don't go as planned, lets hope you have a back up plan.

18. "A Cabin in the Woods' - 2012

During summer and winter breaks, if you and your friends decide to take a trip to a random cabin in the middle of nowhere, and there are tons of antique objects in the basement with writing on them, I suggest you go back upstairs, and forget you ever saw them.

19. "The Conjuring' - 2013

One of Ed and Lorraine Warrens most demonic hauntings, one so bad they had to keep it locked away for years, can you handle what they might of had to of gone through?

20. 'The Conjuring 2' - 2016

Following the original film a few years back, Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to London to yet again investigate a supernatural and dark occurrence that has been tearing a family apart.

21. 'Orphan' - 2009

Adoption is a great thing, but if I start seeing crazy drawings and getting calls form overseas mental hospitals, I'm packing my bags and leaving immediately.

22. 'The Visit' - 2015

Visiting grandma and grandpa can be fun, but if they start going crazy, it may be time to call mom or dad and cut your trip short.

23. 'As Above, So Below'

Getting lost is one thing, but being lost miles underneath the city of paris in the Catacombs, along with the remains of over six million people, would suck. Besides, you never know what you'll encounter down there.

24. 'The Ring' - 2002

Remember, if you see a random VHS sitting on your TV, don't watch it if you don't know what it is, or you'll be seeing her in seven days.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
