Now that we are over a month into second semester things are settling in. We are use to putting on five layers of clothes before going out into the blistering cold and treading carefully over ice. We are a few chapters into class material and dreading our upcoming midterms.
While we are busy with the hustle and bustle of school we often forget a very important part of our college career: Internships. Internships are those things that set you apart from the other candidates during an interview. It is usually unpaid work that will help you get generously (one can only dream) paid work after college. Honestly though, who has time for that? You are already a full-time student, involved in sorority and fraternity life and possibly have a job. You can only fit so much into 24 hours before you lose your sanity.
I'm here to tell you that you that you can fit it all in. How you ask? An internship with The Odyssey . Yes, the paper you are reading right now wants talented members of the Greek Community to contribute to the paper. Being a writer for The Odyssey is a flexible and creative internship. How many internships allow you to write about any topic of your choice and then post it to social media? Uhhh..not many.
College is your time to branch out and try new things. It is time to grow and find what you are passionate about. So if you like writing and need an internship, what are you waiting for? As a writer you submit one article a week on a topic of your choice. From makeup to baseball to movie reviews, the possibilities are endless. Its time to get your parents off your back for not having an internship and become a writer for The Odyssey. What could be better than writing for your friends in the Greek Community, while improving your resumé? That's right, Nothing! Time to get writing and apply at www.theodysseyonline.com/apply
