Looking for Halloween Events to do in Florida?

You do not have to spend a fortune at Universal Studio or Busch Gardens. In fact, there is a Haunted Attraction about an hour outside of Tampa that offers a terrifying and entertaining Halloween horror attraction. Located about an hour north around Dade City, you will find Scream-A-Geddon.

Ranked as one of the top Haunted Attractions in America, Scream-A-Geddon offers 5 haunted houses that are exciting and interactive. Of the many haunted attractions that I have attended, Scream-A-Geddon is the first place that has ever offered an interactive option while going through the attraction.

The interactive option is given to attendees to opt to wear a glow necklace around them while walking through a haunted house. While wearing this necklace, actors can touch you, take you away from your group, and hide you in different areas. If walking through the fearful attraction is not enough for you, this interactive necklace is a great way to add to the fear.

All of the actors at each of the haunted houses stay well in character. Of the 5 options, the hayride is the least horrifying, so keep this in mind if you plan to take little ones. The actors at each attraction are dressed to a particular theme, and have horrifying expressions. The Dead Woods is one of the attractions that I found to be the most fearful, not to mention that we were alone on the trail.

While you make your way through each attraction, you will notice a surprising amount of detail throughout each haunted area. Most of the areas are not very well lit, which allows for more of the actors to jump out and scare you by surprise.

Scream-A-Godden not only offers an entertaining evening, but it is also affordable. Many haunted attractions are over priced and even though they are entertaining, if you are looking for a budget friendly scare, they might not be the best option.
