Have you ever heard of the horrible processes factories and companies use to produce their products? I'm sure you could picture the disastrous damage that has been inflicted to our beloved earth through the years of industry and deforestation, but there is no need. A company called "Ten Tree" has emerged out of the pit of destruction and is working towards righting a wrong caused by many other companies. With a world full of environmental abuse, Ten Tree is a company that is not only creating a unique line of clothing, but also giving back to mother nature.

Ever Wanted To Plant A Tree?

Ten Tree is a very unique company that has dedicated themselves to improving the earth through the planting of trees and raising awareness for the environment. The three pillars of the company are stewardship, transparency, and community. The company has partnered itself with multiple non-profit organizations, such as Eden Reforestation and Trees for the Future, in order to strengthen their commitment to the environment. Ten Tree also wants to involve their customers, by showing them that they can contribute to the well-being of the planet.

I Wanna Help!

Ten Tree wants to do more than contribute to the cause, they want to involve their customers. On the company website, you can purchase different types of clothing, both for men and women, as well as accessories that capture the theme of nature and wildlife. Some of my personal favorite clothing items are the hoodies. I have always been a lover of hoodies and I was instantly attracted to the stylish, comfortable, and scenic vibes I was getting from their product line. I also enjoy their hats, especially the Montague Trucker which depicts a beautiful scenic image of a forest. Once you have made a purchase, you receive a token code that links you to your ten trees that will be planted around the world. With the token code, the customer is given the opportunity to observe how their purchase will contribute towards bettering the earth.

What We Sow Now, We Will Harvest Later

Ten Tree is one of a handful of companies that truly strives to make a difference towards the healing of our earth. I believe that, what we sow now, we will be given the opportunity to harvest later. Who would have known that with a single purchase I could make a difference around the world. Much like my previous article called, "Hex Ties", I hope to bring awareness to ideas that are innovative and out of this world. I love finding gems like these and I hope to continue my relationship with the companies as a customer as a result of their world-changing ideas.

SO, I've just recently had the fortunate experience to be reminded just how Michigan rains. Now, before you roll your eyes at me, I HAVE EXPERIENCED RAIN (in regards of the the popular joke that Californians haven't). However, I have to agree; after experiencing one of Michigan's thunderstorms (with my college's sirens blaring in the background), it comes to mind just how different "rain" is between the two states:

If you have been following me for a long time, then you know I write about two main things: relateable articles and communication media based articles. Now, it is time for me to combine the two. For those of you that don't know, I am a radio DJ at IUP, and I DJ for a show called BPM (Beats Per Minute). It is an EDM, or electronic dance music, based show and I absolutely love it.

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. On top of that, pets also need food, a wee wee pad for a dog, a litter box with litter for a cat, toys, and treats. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"
