How would you feel if you witnessed your best friend of five years get shot and killed in front of you? YouTuber Sam Pepper made this a reality for fellow YouTuber Sam Golbach. Golbach’s best friend Colby Brock is in on the prank that Pepper is pulling.
In the video, Golbach and Brock are seen driving down a road when their car “breaks down.” Brock opens the trunk and the hood to look for flashlights and to look at the oil. Golbach gets out of the car as well. Pepper and someone else put a band over Golbach’s head and proceeds to tape his hands and feet together.
The video cuts to a rooftop where Golbach’s bag is pulled off his head and he’s faced with a gunman and Brock. The gunman points the gun towards Golbach, but goes to Brock and pulls the trigger. Before the trigger is pulled, you can hear Golbach yelling at the top of his lungs, and the one thing that is the worst is “He’s all I’ve got!” Once the trigger is pulled, Golbach looks away from his best friend and is seen sobbing.
Brock gets up after a minute and shows Golbach that he’s alive and OK. It takes Golbach seconds to figure out what is going on. Days later, Golbach tweeted that he was OK with the “prank” because it showed how close he was with Colby.
While this isn’t the first failed prank Sam Pepper has uploaded to YouTube, it’s definitely the most disturbing. Pepper has uploaded many of these “pranks,” including a video of him using a fake hand to grab women’s butts.
Going through the comments on the video, I didn’t see one single comment approving the video. Every comment was bashing Sam Pepper, and to be honest, he deserves it. He clearly doesn’t understand the meaning of a prank. The two pranks he’s uploaded include traumatizing events and sexual harassment. Sam Pepper has quite a few disturbing images besides these, including “How to Pick Up Cougars,” “How to Steal Girlfriends,” and “How to Make Out with Strangers.”
Tons of people have taken to Twitter to speak out about Sam Pepper’s content. Many other famous YouTubers are outraged by this video and have petitioned for Sam Pepper’s channel to be removed. Twitter users have asked why Sam Pepper is still a thing, and others have hoped to wake up with Sam Pepper’s channel erased from YouTube.
Anonymous has threatened Sam Pepper into deleting the video or he will face the “wrath” of Anonymous. They gave him until midnight of December 1st to delete it, and it was still there. Since then, they have released his London IP address, home address, and phone number. They are apparently working on releasing his Los Angeles IP address, home address, and phone number.
I’d like to say he doesn’t deserve any of this, but if he pulled this “prank” on me, all hell would break loose. Good job Sam Pepper, you’ve made everyone hate you yet again.
