Sailor Moon Wiki

When I was a little girl my favorite thing to do was pretend I was one of the Sailor Senshi from the anime, "Sailor Moon." "Sailor Moon" is about a girl named Usagi who helps protect the earth with the other Sailor Senshi as Sailor Moon. "Sailor Moon" was my favorite show to watch because it was full of girl power. As a young girl, it was important to me to see girl empowerment and know that a girl can do anything. It was great to see girls uplift each other and work together to make the world a better place. As I have gotten older I have I noticed there were differences in the Japanese version versus the American version. Just so you know, the Japanese version is way better than the American version, but that's my opinion.

In the Japanese version of "Sailor Moon" there are homosexual relationships and interactions in the show, but in America, we decided to change. My favorite Sailor Senshi, Sailor Neptune, is actually in a relationship with Sailor Uranus. In the beginning, Sailor Uranus based upon her appearance is mistaken for a male when he is a female. So not only does "Sailor Moon" focus on homosexuality, but it also breaks the norms when it comes to gender. In the American version, Sailor Neptune and Uranus went from being lovers to cousins. When I watched both versions, one in English and the other in Japanese with subtitles, it became very confusing because to me it seemed like they went from two women in love to cousins in love, which was just strange to me.There is a relationship between two villains named Kunzite and Zoisite. They are a gay couple in the anime in Japan. In America, we changed it to where Zoisite was female so there wouldn't be a gay couple in the show.

The Sailor Starlights Fighter, Healer, and Maker could supposedly be transgender in the anime. They are male in their civilian identities but transform into females for their Sailor Starlight form. Usagi has a romantic interaction with the Seiya, which is one of the Sailor Starlights, in the anime. Some fans of the show want to say their relationship is a normal heterosexual relationship, but when Seiya transforms into a Sailor Starlight they would have a homosexual relationship instead.

"Sailor Moon" will always be my favorite anime even if America did make changes to it that not only resulted in major character changes like changing their names such as taking Michiru and changing it to Michelle. It even got to the point where we didn't air certain episodes and season 5 of "Sailor Moon." "Sailor Moon" taught me so much about myself when I was a little kid. I'm still obsessed with Sailor Moon until this day.

There is a revamp of "Sailor Moon" now that stays together with the plot of the manga. You can find the new episodes of "Sailor Moon" at this link: http://www.crunchyroll.com/sailor-moon-crystal

This is the link to the website to make your own Sailor Senshi and maybe you can help protect the earth from villains too! http://www.dressupgames.com/sailor-senshi-maker-3 This is a picture of mine that I made. I decided to be Sailor Sun and to be honest I had too much fun making this. The anime nerd in me is happy.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
