According to USA today and Animal planet’s official website, “on June, 7,2010 a 38 year old man and his 13 year old son where out in their backyard .When the man saw a female wolf and her three 6 month old pups wandering around a ways off from his land. The man then went inside his home and got out raw meat that he and his young son then used to lure the lost mother and her young ones into his yard. He then shot the mom in the head and instructed his son to cut into all three of the new baby flesh of her pups’ throats killing them. When the man was questioned about his act, he had first told officers that the mom and her babies walked onto his property and he saw them from his house. Claiming to fear for his son, he acted, but later when neighbors came forward saying how he had baited the wolves onto his yard he said that he just didn’t feel safe with them so near his house and that as a hunter he knew how dangerous wolves were.”

This man’s response unfortunately, is very common of hunters when questioned about their brutality of these animals and even though many are saying that these animals are a great threat to us in the lower U.S. where the above story was located along with many like it, a recent report was made by fish and game department about wolves in whole U.S., stating that a wolf hasn’t attacked or harmed a human here in over 35 years in the lower U.S. Along with this MSN/ABC., has gone on to state that wolves all over the U.S have very rarely killed a human being. Only two have been reported all together.

Along with the issue of hunters acting on they own against wolves, the state of Alaska Is facing issues with their legislature according to Idausa, “Alaskans have already voted twice(in1996 and 2000) to ban aerial hunting of wolves. Yet the Alaska legislature overturned public consensus by ratifying a law that authorizes the state to issue aerial gunning permits.”

(idausa.org) Image their in a war against the sky and they don’t have any way of fighting back, and how can this be seen as fair hunting? Even though aerial hunting is illegal all other the U.S to hunt anything from deer to bear, there is even a law stating that you may not hunt an area you flew over for at last 24 hours. Though Alaska isn’t in the lower U.S, some of the lower states have started to question why they shouldn’t be allowed to aerial hunt as well.

National geographic has credited the lower states to the near extinction of the gray wolf along with the red and manned wolves. Surely this helps to show how brutal we have been to creatures that haven’t posed as any threat to us in over 30 years. Another fact provided by National geographic is that because of hunting, the life span of any wolf living in the wild is six to eight years.

With their life span so low another thing many over look is how these animals are hunted. One example is that wolves have been successfully domesticated by humans for thousands of years, and today when wolf pups and half breeds are adopted to what is supposed to be a happy family that is safe for these rescued animals. According to Never cry wolf rescue many people had begun to adopt these animals as pups or full grown so that they could hunt them or so the people could have a good fighting dog, and unfortunately this has lead to the deaths of many wolves and half breeds because people keep claiming they didn’t know you could hurt a wolf.

After being arrested for abusing the animals, the owners of the wolves and half breeds all admitted they knew that wolves were dogs. What if this was your dog or if it wasn’t your dog , but maybe a lab of some kind or a Pomeranian? Do you think people would start to care then?

The truth is wolves are dogs not a whole other species, and they do feel pain, and we can hurt them, and we have proven so again, and again we have hunted them to near excitation. What do we want from them? We haven’t been harmed by a wolf in over 30 years. They still aren’t a threat. They have become great family pets for thousands of people , and the wolves and half breeds have been known to get along with children and even other pets. Why do we feel the need to hurt them?

The tools used to hunt them don’t only include baiting like that man and his son ,but also bear traps that have been reported by several fish and game departments to not only break ,but shatter the bones of whatever gets caught. Have you ever heard the saying, you gonna naw off your own foot? This came from wolves having to do this to try and be free, and many have died this way. It’s not only adults who get caught in these traps, so do young pups and some have been saved from traps where their face had become stuck because the trap made the little ones curious, and thenthe trap causes the bones in their face to be broken including their jaw. If a young girl say that she was two had someone beat her face in and break her jaw, people would be outraged because how could a girl that young possibly defend herself against a full grown person? Now ask yourself how could a wolf pup defend itself against something that doesn’t belong in the wild, something their mom or dad can’t teach them to fight or escape from successfully?

Another way they are hunted is with poisoned meat traps. These traps are cruel in that they are usually a hole dug into the ground that then has twigs and leaves thrown over to cover it, the wolf, falls in and its legs and/or neck could be broken and it’s guaranteed that something will be broken when this tool is used if the wolf falls in, now. If the wolf don’t fall in because, by chance the meat is close to a safe edge or the wolf is light enough to get across, then the hunter knows that the wolf just took dangerous meat with it even though the hunter most likely won’t get the poisoned wolf. Many hunters say it’s a sort of vengeance for the wolves being able to get away. They are punished for having been able to survive half the trap, but there is no surviving the other half.

Wolves are worth a lot in money if you can get your hands on one to take its teeth and claws that can sell up to $10,000, even though these creatures are supposed to be protected. National Geographic has them on their website, saying that as a whole wolves are endangered. Yet if you go onto eBay or Amazon, you can find wolf fur, and anything else that person took for sale and people from the U.S are buying them, and this unfortunately this, is helping to make the hunters of the U.S forget that this isn’t a good job to do and that these animals are protected for a reason. They help to keep other types of animals from over running those areas. An example of this is Arizona which killed off most of the main predator of the deer in their area, and their state became over run with deer to where the state called in hunters from other states and paid them to take care of the deer problem. Not only were the deer pressing in on the humans by rapidly getting so close that they began to live in towns, but the deer population pressed on itself, where deer were starving because the other deer had eaten all the food. This could happen all over the U.S not only with deer, but other animals including rodents. This could be worse then, when the mice over run Taft California in 1927. Not only was it over run ,but the rodents brought dease outbreaks. The wolves help to keep everything nice and balanced. To allow hunters to take them out is giving them the right to let chaos break out for us. Why should we expose ourselves to such issues if we don’t have to?

To the Native Americans the wolf was a teacher. They used to watch the wolf, and they began to use its ways so that they themselves could hunt deer and buffalo using what they had learned from the wolf. Also they saw the white wolf as a spirit guide, and if they knew how rare the white wolf has become (white also meaning the gray), they would not be happy with us for letting it happen and helping with its demise. Not everyone shares the same kind history toward wolves. A common thought is that wolves began to get hunted as the fear of werewolves spread though the roman Catholics and roman Christens. They began to hunt the wolves on days they considered holy and said that the wolf was a werewolf who would kill or steal their soul. This mania grew and grew to where wolves were actually said to be outlawed in parts of our country. How odd is this? We come onto the wolves’ land into their homes and call them outlawed, and begun to hunt them due to myths and legends. This sounds bizarre right? This wouldn’t happen today. Wrong it is happening today, but people aren’t calling them werewolves ,but they continue to call them killers, when fish and game departments all over the U.Sagree that a wolf hasn’t been a danger to us for a while and that them actually killing us continues to be very unlikely to happen. So we do we continue to let these people hide behind such a lie. We have allowed these people to lie to us for to long about why they kill these peaceful creatures. Who want money and are fueled by greed, and don’t let yourself be deceived, and if they won’t why would they hunt in such ways and if their not , but just love to hunt and kill in such a manner, consider this serial killers are known to kill in these some ways with animals first before moving on to humans.

Psychology tells us that if it isn’t for money, then it is dangerous for them to continue for pleasure while killing the way they are. So if they try to claims lies and say it’s not for money, maybe we should question how safe they are for us to be around. Though many hunters claim pleasure in hunting, please remember they don’t all hunt in this brutal manner, that is used with wolves.

Many organization have begun to go out and try to save these animals from these traps and to save the pups from facing the same fate when these brutal men enter into their homes and kill their parents and all their family, leaving them to die a slow painful death scared and alone at what is most of the time two months old. Even with these groups helping, they can’t possibly find all of them that need help with too few people and no one seeming to care what these hunters are doing. Tell me something:

Could you explain to this little girl that you’re sorry, but no one cares that she’s now alone

if it had been her family along with her that faced this brutality everyday ,and if it finally took her home and security away?

Now could you tell this pup the same:

Because he is just as innocent as that girl would have been, what could either of them have done? And at one month old why should this pup have to be shown such cruelty.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
