As the newest season of "The Bachelor" is finally upon us, so is spring rush for some universities. Being a freshman, I was so excited to begin my rush experience, meet all different types of people and find a house I fit into.

Even though it's a very tiring process for both PNMs (potential new members) and the Greek women in the houses, it's extremely fun and worthwhile. As a PNM, you really see how much the women in the sororities are connected to their chapter, sisters, and philanthropy, which is [in my opinion] the coolest parts of rush.

However, there's a stressful side to rush as well — so, here're 15 experiences you have during rush week as told by the Bachelor:

1. Shopping over winter break for outfits for each round like:

At first, you may think that this is an easy task... and you're incorrect. Even though I find shopping and styling outfits fun, most girls who I came across did not enjoy this part of the experience. Some found it stressful to find the "perfect outfit" — whatever that means. Instead, finding an outfit you feel comfortable and confident in should be the only objective. Find something that reflects your personality and sense of style, as there's no reason to hide an aspect of yourself merely to fit into a place you may not belong.

2. Then once you meet your Rho Gamma, trying to figure out which sorority she's in:

My Rho Gamma was the bomb!!! (Shoutout Megan if you're reading this.) Essentially a Rho Gamma's job is to disaffiliate from her chapter for the duration of rush in order to guide her group of girls through the rush process. The objective is to give her girls an unbiased outlet to talk about their experiences and feelings towards different chapters, and if the PNMs already know their Rho Gamma's chapter, they may feel uncomfortable talking about the sorority their Rho Gamma is a part of.

However, many girls try to figure out which house their Rho Gam is in before the reveal at the end of the two weeks. It's hard to wait for the reveal, and you're constantly seeing if the girls in various chapters have the same type of vibe as your Rho Gam does.

3. Arriving an hour early in between rounds and standing in the cold...:

There's nothing like losing feeling in your toes and fingers while standing in the snow. (Hand warmers strongly recommended.)

4. ... but once the hour is over, the excitement of seeing each chapter's house and new chant trumps it all...:

You have definitely never experienced anything like this before. You're standing outside waiting to be let into the house, when all of a sudden you see girls banging on the windows and screaming their chapter's chant at the top of their lungs. Even though at first it's overwhelming, as the days go on you get the chants stuck in your head and look forward to hearing them during each round.

5. TFW you instantly click with the girl that's rushing you...:

This was the best part of rush for me. You know when you vibe with someone and your personality perfectly matches theirs. It's cool to find someone like that because you really do feel at home [as cheesy as that sounds], and it's nice to get into deeper conversation beyond the typical "name, hometown, major, etc."

6. ... AAAND TFW you don't...:

But it's OK! There are so many different types of women in each sorority, so if you don't vibe with the girl you're talking to then maybe the next girl will have something in common with you. If the girl who's talking to you seems off or doesn't look interested maybe she's just hungry or tired - rushing is exhausting and very busy, so try to cut people some slack. Never base your opinion of a chapter off of one conversation, as there are over 100 women in each sorority and, chances are, there's someone you are similar to in that house.

7. When someone asks you what you want out of a sorority:

Sisterhood duh!!! But really, most PNMs rushing want to find girls who they will have genuine friendships with. You want to be around people you can live with and be yourself around. Anything worthwhile won't come easy, which is why during open invite round you have to go to all 22 houses (here at IU). It may seem a little excessive, but it's important to be exposed to every house to find the people you want to spend the rest of your collegiate years with.

8. When you leave a house confident, then remind yourself not to jinx it:

Sometimes it's hard to distinguish whether or not the girl who's rushing you is just being nice because she has to or if she's genuinely interested. It's also difficult to avoid getting your hopes up, but just try to stay optimistic.

9. And catching a bus is suddenly an Olympic sport...:

^ ^ ^ This is real. Girls literally sprint (or awkwardly try to run in their heeled booties) out of every house to catch a bus in order to arrive to their next house on time. Being late shortens your time in the next house, and it can jeopardize your chances of leaving a lasting impression.

10. ...but then you notice it has a "Full Load":

This really does crush your soul. There's nothing like going on a mad 100 meter dash to realize you have absolutely zero chance of getting on that bus. It's especially disheartening if you have to go to the other side of campus and have only 20 minutes to get there.

11. Besides sprinting, rush has helped you hone your skills in eating quickly...:

So let's say your lunch break is 12:30 - 2:30. BUT realllyyy.... you have to be back at your first round after lunch at 1:30. So now it'll take you like 30 min to walk back to your dorm, take off all of your layers, finally sit down to rest, then eat as fast as you can (good luck with delivery), and finally realize you need to get going again for the rest of the afternoon.

12. ... and taking power naps while waiting in houses between rounds:

"I'm just going to rest my eyes real quick..." The houses are so warm and cozy inside it's hard not to...

13. Once your done with the rounds, taking your sweet time doing your rankings:

Might sound dramatic but it kinda is difficult, especially if you received back a list of houses you really like. I found that I had fun conversations with girls at each house I returned to, which didn't help my ranking decisions whatsoever. Thinking about which philanthropies you connected to most may help you in this decision if you find yourself in the same situation.

14. And then praying all week that you get your favorite sororities back:

Even though school is definitely a nice break to reset and refocus after the first two rounds of rush, you always hope that the ones you like the most like you back just as much.

15. But truly, the BEST feeling is getting in bed at the end of the day:

THIS. IS. THE. BEST. No explanation needed.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
