As a college sophomore living in an apartment with three friends, the business and stress of college make us turn to one thing for help -- coffee.
Coffee isn't only a cure to sleepiness, it is a delicious part of life. And if college has taught me anything, it's that if one roommate is addicted to coffee, you all soon will be.
1. Every day-trip involves a stop or two for coffee (after all, you have to maintain that gold card). You usually pack lunches so you can spend more money on coffee.
2. You find coffee grinds on your counters, in the sink, on the floor, in between your toes, in your sheets (...the list goes on)
3. Relationship problems? School problems? Solution -- coffee.
4. Your ideal "adventure" is going together to a new coffee shop.
5. Creamer is not something you are willing to share.
6. There are more than three french presses in your cupboard, multiple machines on your counter, at least eight mugs per person on the shelf, and your freezer is stocked with enough coffee to last months.
7. When there are fights between you and your roommates, it is most likely because they haven't had their daily cup.
8. You need each other to help affirm and justify your coffee consumption.
9. Your entire apartment smells like coffee... all the time.
10. Late at night, you brew decaf to unwind.
11. If your roommate doesn’t finish your coffee, you are obligated to-- no coffee should be left behind.
12. There is tension if you tell them you are "cutting back" on your caffeine consumption or if you drink tea.
13. You have each others complicated coffee order down.
14. You work as a team to brainstorm recipes that involve coffee. Coffee in your oatmeal? Cake with coffee? Espresso cookies? Coffee coated bacon?
15. Pregame time? Espresso shots.
16. Your roommates assume you're sick if you are taking a nap. If you are simply "tired" you just drink extra coffee.
17. Spontaneously delivering coffee to each other is your roomie love language.
18. You compete with levels of caffeine tolerance and brag about the amount of coffee you've had.
19. Your roommates know how to calm you down after they mess up your Starbucks order.
20. The best photos of you and your roomies are taken at a coffee shop.
