What's Really Behind Dennis Rodman's Visits To North Korea

If one thing is for certain history has a way of repeating itself. If another thing is for certain, people tend to use others to do their dirty work for them. NBA legend Dennis Rodman has been taking a few trips to North Korea since late. The State Department is almost positive that Rodman is going to North Korea for personal reasons and there is “nothing” to worry about. However, I find this a bit hard to believe. It can, and will be argued that Present Trump sent Dennis Rodman to North Korea to try to amend the relationship between US and North Korea.

To begin with, Rodman is good friends with Trump and the leader of North Korea, Kim Jong Un. Needless to say, Trump and Kim Jong Un are NOT friends by any stretch of the imagination. A friend of my enemy is my enemy suggest that Trump and Rodman shouldn’t be friends since Rodman is also friends with Kim Jong Un. This only means one thing, Trump cannot be trusted and he is using Rodman for his own personal gains.

Kim Jong Un is no fool however, and I think that’s why he is putting Rodman to the test. Rodman doesn’t go alone though. He goes bearing gifts. He not only brought a book for Kim, but he also brought along something for his little daughter.

Rodman is a ball player, not a politician. Rodman is using his celebrity status and friendship to work in the favor of Trump. I would understand if Rodman was going to North Korea to fabricate a basketball franchise, that wouldn’t seem alarming. To go to North Korea on “private” business rings many bells. One would have to be very naïve to negate the bigger picture.

Moreover, one of the many gifts that Rodman brought with him on his trip to North Korea was a copy of Donald Trump’s book, “The Art of the Deal”. It is common knowledge that Trump has authored a number of books over the years. So why out of a vast catalog to choose from would Rodman choose the book titled “The Art of the Deal” to present as a gift to Kim Jong Un. For one, if you are my friend and you give me a book written by my enemy, you are no longer my friend.

The notion of the “deal” is essentially Trump and Kim Jong Un working together. By reading his book, Trump hopes that Kim will realize how much the two leaders have in common. It is a great strategy! Think back to your longest friendship. How did it all start off? You found a few things that you had in common and the rest was history. All in all, that is why Rodman took that particular book to present as a gift to his “friend”.

At times leaders have no choice but to get crafty as they try to fathom new ways of networking. Trump and Kim Jong Un, are not on speaking terms. In fact, the two countries have nuclear weapons pointed at each other waiting for someone to budge. As a solution, Trump realized Rodman’s relevancy to his problem. By using Rodman as the middle man, Trump is then able to strengthen his ties with North Korea and will be able to strike up deals with Kim Jong Un.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
