With spring break around the corner, nothing beats hanging out and driving around with friends. Of course everyone made new friends while away at school, but nothing beats meeting up with close friends from high school and from you home town. Or maybe you aren't going out with friends back home, maybe you are traveling with brand new friends. Either way, good music, good friends, and a good drive can make any vacation memorable.
So here are some good songs to add into your playlist;
1. "Ex's & Oh's" by Elle King
Nothing is better than screaming the lyrics especially when all the friends know the guy you are singing about.
2. "All Night Longer" by Sammy Adams
Who cares if it's meant to be a party song, there's no way that this doesn't pump you up enough to have fun on a car ride.
3. "Can't Be Tamed" by Miley Cyrus
A good throwback is always good way to jam out with the girlfriends, especially a Miley Cyrus throwback.
4. "Party In The U.S.A." by Miley Cyrus
Can't be able to pick one Miley throwback and not pick this one.
5. "It Wasn't Me" by Shaggy
Gotta bring Shaggy on the road trip.
6. "Post To Be (Remix)" by Dej Loaf and Trey Songz
Remixes are always a fun additive to the group and this rock out.
7. "Let It Go" by Idina Menzel
Is it even a road trip if you don't have at least one "Frozen" song.
8. "Wasted" by Tiesto
An exciting song that is great to sing with friends, because let's be honest, we've all had a night where this song is relevant.
9. "So What" by P!nk
Yeah yeah yeah, you are probably tired of the throwbacks but come on, the best road trips making new memories are full of looking back at old ones.
and for a last song that is of course but another throwback,
10. "Potential Break Up Song" by Ali and AJ
Because realistically, if that song comes on and you and your girls don't start to sing along, are you even having fun?
So maybe I'm a little biased toward throwback songs that weren't always seen as too popular. But I like to reflect on the good parts of the past, relive old memories and smile. There is no fun going on a road trip where you can't smile, laugh, and just sing with close friends. Spring Break is meant to take a step back from the stress of school (post midterms for a lot of us) and just relax. And to me, there is no better way to relax than to be with people I have missed while I was away and just sing and drive around. Make the memories that you want to tell your college friends about. Make the memories that you want to tell your children when you are older (or maybe want to lie to your children about). Make the memories you want to, one day, relive to relax and smile with friends in the future. Make this break yours!
