Do You Have Road Rage For These Reasons?

Most people wouldn't understand that yes, teenagers have terrible road-rage as well, maybe even a little worse sometimes.

I probably shouldn't have as much road-rage as I do, but when you live in South Carolina, you see all reasons for why you have terrible road-rage. More of it comes from the pure stupidity of people not paying a split of attention to anything but themselves.

Or even that fact that everyone finds the need to be on their phone all the sudden. First, off people, your brain does not have enough reaction time to look down at your phone for x amount of seconds then back on the road and still know what is going on. If your phone means that much to you, PULL OVER.

Being a commuting student, I spend a lot of time on the road and I see all sorts of stupid. From the smallest things as not using a blinker when switching lanes, and yes I say blinker, I am from the North. To cut me off last second where there is no space to even come close to getting between me and someone else.

Now, if you have a blinker on, I may just leave some space for you to get over, but until then, I will continue to follow a safe distance to the car in front so you can't come over. Until then though, please don't even bother trying me, personally.

Something else that really gets me, is the fact the people are willing to get so close to me when DRIVING that I can't see a single bit of the front of their car. At that point, they're practically in your back seat because of how close they feel they must be to you. I may be that person that taps the break so slightly that it doesn't change my speed, it's just a warning of hey, please back up and don't hit me.

Another thing, if you're going to be going under the speed GET OUT OF THE LEFT LANE. That's very bad to go slow, so move over before you get in a car accident because you're going so slow.

One of my big things the bothers me is when people are driving at night without their headlights on. That doesn't even make sense how that is possible-- most cars don't have day running lights that are bright enough to see what's in front of you.

Also, how are you able to see anything without the inside of your car lighting up? I know that your dash is not lit up because that's what turns on when you turn your headlights turn on at night. Oh, my, what a shocker.

Like, how do you even drive, you can't see the road without headlights. I've attempted to drive without headlights on in my neighborhood late at night and couldn't do it. Was 100% impossible, and I have LED daylights. Not even those were strong enough, not to mention I couldn't see anything on my dash.

If you're going to drive, and you don't want to wreck or anything, drive safe and smart, people. Be responsible, look both ways, use your blinker and get off your phone.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
