What's a boyfriend? How often do you have to feed it?

Rest In Peace to all the boys we have had feelings for but we never called our boyfriends. His agenda didn't match up, or ours didn't. Everybody has them, whether it be two weeks, three months or a year, they existed but the label never did. Some ended badly, some ended great, most really never end.

No label, but all the feels. No saying "that's my boyfriend', but all the memories. Your family didn't really know about him, but your friends did. No "facebook official", but still all the jealousy. It wasn't public, and secrets kill.

Sometimes we really liked them. Sometimes we used them. Sometimes they used us. We all have a few, or a lot. Some worth remembering, some not. Some still talk to us, some are a very distant memory.

So yeah, RIP to the guys who were never actually our boyfriends, however many there may be. Those experiences are dead and buried and should stay such. (Please no Walking Almost Relationships) Maybe you'll come back and leave flowers, maybe you'll not even mark the place in your memory, but bigger and better things are coming. It's best not to mourn over something that couldn't even afford a label.
