“Some day I won’t be able to do this- the right time is now”- Casey Neistat

“The right time is always now,” Casey continues to remind us as he travels the world doing what he loves each day.

For what? Well- for everything.

The right time is now to get yourself moving and get on with your day.

The right time is now to do what you’ve been holding back on.

The right time is now to make your life everything you want it to be.

Why wait? Something that I’ve learned in my 20 years is that time is so precious, every second counts. Although this may sound cliché, it is so important to realize your life’s worth. To sit around and wait for life to happen is to throw away that time. Life does not come to you if you are too reluctant to get out into the world and experience it.

Many of you are millennials such as myself, which means that the perfect time to embark on life’s adventures is right now. It is a blessing that we are so capable to do whatever we want when we want to. The greatest failure in life is looking back and realizing you didn’t do anything when you had the time and capability.

The world is your oyster, you can do whatever you want whenever you want to at this very moment, and who cares what it is as long as it makes you happy?? I ask you to think about the memories you want to tell your grandchildren when you’re eighty years old. What kinds of stories do you want to pass on through generations?- The story of you lying in bed and watching Netflix throughout your twenties? Now is the time to make these the best years of your life.

I want to be the grandma that talks about the cliffs she climbed and the paths she ran and the places she traveled. These are the things I live for, the things that motivate me day to day. There is no time like the present and someday I won’t be able to do these things, so the time is always right now.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
