So you moved away for college... life took you two different places. It's been days, weeks, months, or years since you've seen each other. Either way, it's felt like forever and a day.
1. The Realization
You learn that you and your BFF get to finally hang out! You can't wait to be reunited again, because clearly you've missed them more than you can say.
2. The Determination
Nothing, you mean nothing, is going to stop you two from being together.
3. The Journey
You drive happily along your way. It seems like it'll take forever and a day to get to your BFF, but you're filled with so much joy that they'll be waiting to meet you
4. The Arrival
You pull up at your meeting place and your heart skips a beat. Or two. . . or four. It's the final moments before you are face to face again. And then you see them.
5. The Reunion
You dash towards your best friend at the first sight of them. It's like a breath of fresh air and all the excitement you can muster all in one grand reunion.
6. The Catching Up
This stage can last for hours. All you want to do is sit and talk and hear about how their life is going. You need all of the details on their wild adventures and what has been going on that you had to miss because of the distance. You laugh at their joy and cry at their struggles. Really it's an emotional whirlwind -- it's months of experiences packed into one sitting.
7. The Nostalgia
"Remember that time when we..."
"Oh, how about what you did when..."
Too familiar of phrases, right? This stage can last for hours too. It's too much fun sitting there and reminiscing about your lives when they were much more intertwined.
8. The Goofy Nonsense
Okay, so not all of us like to admit to the stage, but you know when you guys reunite you do at least one thing that's silly or crazy. You'll drive down the street blasting Backstreet Boys or go to a playground and play on all of the architecture. It's fun to be silly with your best friend!
9. The Goodbye
This stage is the worst of them all. You knew that it was coming, but it was definitely way too soon. The parting of ways is very sad, more sad than you thought, and you drive away with a hollow pit in your stomach.
10. The Text
"Hey! Miss you already! Did you get back safely? Call me when you do because we already have lots to talk about! Can't wait until we can reunite again!"
And your heart feels all warm and fuzzy.
And you can't wait to be with them again too.
