On Friday June 10, 2016, Christina Grimmie, 22, was shot and killed while signing autographs after her concert in Orlando, Florida. Her brother, Mark, tackled the shooter immediately to prevent further injuries within the venue. During the struggle, the suspect committed suicide.

There are still many questions circling this incident regarding how the suspect was able to enter the venue with the weapons and what his motive may have been.

Christina was a beautiful soul whose music and energy was full of positivity. She is well-known for her days on "The Voice." I had the privilege of seeing her perform a few years ago and instantly became a fan after witnessing firsthand the way she lit up a stage. The world has truly lost an amazing person and voice.
