I came across an article the other day titled Christian Boys vs. Godly Men and while everyone is allowed to have their own opinion, I disagree with some of the points made in this article and wanted to share my own opinion.
This article wants people to look beyond being Christian, going to church, listening to Christian music, going to church camp, and look into his personal relationship with God. My biggest question to that is since when is it anyone else's business on how a PERSONAL relationship with someone else is going. The word personal is defined as being intended for private use or by one person. With that definition in mind, someone's personal relationship and prayer time with God, is no one else's business and should not be used to judge them.
I also agree that a man will love you great when he loves God greater, but it is not our job to judge how much another person loves God. Everyone has different ways of showing their feelings and it is not our job to decide whether or not their way is acceptable.
Lastly, please don't tell girls not to settle. Just as it is not our job to judge a man's relationship with God, it is also not our job to decide if someone is settling on a significant other and telling someone that they are can be considered offensive.
Let's let everyone life their own lives and just work on our own relationships.
