Often we are criticized for who we are, where we come from, what are views are and by our personalities. No one should fear judgement. On the inside we are all the same. We all have the same organs, we all have the same muscles and the same bone structures. Most importantly, we all bleed red. We all have a heart. If you didn’t know, that thumping in your chest is actually your heart contracting to expel blood to the rest of your body. It’s a great thing to feel. It is what makes us alive, it is what drives us. Just because we all have differing blood types does not mean we are different people. It just means our bodies were lucky enough to produce what they have. Be proud of who you are and thankful for what you have.
To judge man is to psychologically fear your insecurities. But what is to fear except fear itself. Why must we judge a man based on his sexuality or by the color of his skin? The answer is logical—because we are scared. We are scared to incur change in our lives. We scared of new opportunities because we don’t know what the future may hold. We are scared of the unknown. We relish in the luxuries that we have failing to realize that others have much less.
We fear the unknown but care not of other unless there is beneficence in regards to OUR well-being. Come to think of it, we are scared to help the unknown because we fear it will change our lives or that helping others will be too much of a longevity task for us. We apparently don’t want to incur on those changes. So, we run. There was momentary beneficence for us that evoked a temporary happiness and then when we finished, it ended. Our happiness was gone; it still longs in our mind that we helped others, but rarely registers as helping others more often.
But we don’t fear judging others. We’re not afraid to mock those who have a different skin color or a different sexuality preference than us. However, we are scared to be judged. We fear how it will make us feel because we won’t know until it actually happens to us. Then we become rational and to compensate, we begin to judge others. It’s true of most. Just as the CEO of a hospital and the janitor of the same hospital do, I put my pants on one leg at a time. Respect the choices of others. They may be the ones saving your life one day.
The reality is, there is no need to judge others. We all bleed red.
