When I was growing up I was told that I had gay family members, and I never once thought that was abnormal or anything to be ashamed of. I knew what it meant and I accepted it. I didn't realize that it was a problem with people until I got older and that's when I realized how much society can suck.
I'm tired of going out with my gay friends and getting stares. They may be used to it, but they should not even have to worry about it. People should stop being so damn judgmental. Being gay is not a sin. People are all different and they should be allowed to like whoever they want to like.
On June 12, 2016 fifty people where shot dead at a gay night club in Orlando. The gunman's father confirmed that this shooting was an act of hate against the LGBT community. Why should 50 people have to die? Fifty innocent people had to die. This really hits me hard. Fifty innocent people, dead because of what?
People are so against gays, but why? What is their reasoning? The only difference between you and gays is what you do in the bedroom. Why should any one care about what other people do in the bedroom. Are you saying that straight people should start hating gays, because of their sexual preferences? NO! All I am saying, is gays are the same as you, they are humans who eat, breathe and sleep just like anyone in the world, and they deserve to have the same life as you, without all of the judgement.
Some of the things that people are posting on social media about the attack on the gay nightclub are making me sick to my stomach. People are saying that the shooting was OK, because it was on gays and not "innocent" people. My stomach has been turning in knots, to the point where it is bringing me to tears about how cruel society is. People have been calling the gays pervs.
Gay men can't give blood? I do understand that gay men can get a disease like HIV or AIDS very easily, but so can anyone. It is not just gay men that can get sexual transmitted diseases. They need to come up with a solution to this problem, by testing everyone before they get blood taken to make sure that everyone comes up as negative for sexual transmitted diseases. Saying that gay men cannot donate blood is discrimination. Also, I thought we lived in a free country?
It has dawned on me that people don't have the brain capacity to understand things, and that people will automatically judge for no reason. Fifty lives should not have been lost, and my prayers are with all of the families who have been affected by this horrible crime. Please stop judging gays, we are all human and need to learn to love and accept no matter what.
