Everyone hates Resolutions because most of us don't follow through with them - guilty - but this year should be different. We all should make a list of what our resolutions should be for the New Year and actually finish them by the end of the year. It won't be easy but you have to think positive and know that you can accomplish whatever you put your mind to.. even those stupid little New Years resolutions. I hope some of you reading this will do the same and make a list of what to get done throughout 2017.
1. Be HAPPY!
Focus on things that make you happy and steer clear of all the negativity that life throws at you once in a while. Learn to move past them and think of brighter days.
2. Go on adventures.
Adventuring to new and exciting places makes everything just 1000x bright. It could be somewhere close to home or a plane ride away! Go somewhere that will make you forget about the worries during the year.
3. Exercise.
Everyone hates this resolution because people do it for two weeks and then give up. I am a pretty consistent when it comes to going to the gym. Exercising boosts your self esteem and trust me after a few weeks, you'll notice a difference (a good difference).
4. Let go of all the negativity.
This goes along with resolution number 1 but it's so important that I am stressing it again. If someone in your life isn't making you happy and just stresses you out all the time, than I would consider dropping them. This could be for lets say a friend you have known for a little while, but it just didn't work out. Of course you don't have to be mean to them because that involves negativity, but show them that you are better off without them.
5. Achieve Higher.
If you are in college or even high school, you probably got your grades back for the semester and they could be great or ehh. Push yourself to strive higher than last time and I guarantee that you will have amazing results. Yes, this means a little more studying, hard work, and devotion... but you can do it!!!
6. Read a book.
Reading is a great way to relax after a stressful day so getting lost in something you love, will be perfect. Make a game out of it, see how many books you can read in a year!!
7. Take a break from the phone.
Ok.. I know, our phones are our everything and it sucks. It is just what we are used too but try and stay away from the phone for a day and go and do something with open eyes. You won't be attached to your phone so you will actually be seeing everything more clearly.
8. Have fun.
Most importantly, have fun in 2017! It is a new year for new experiences that is waiting for you. Don't be scared, let loose and have some fun!!!
Happy Holidays and Happy New Year :)
