It was enjoyable being a child. You had little to nothing to worry about when you were younger. You didn't have to worry about getting a job or paying off student loans or paying your phone bill every month or anything that you have to worry about when you're older. Wouldn't it be wonderful if we could go back to being children when we were much happier and had a lot more fun in life? Unfortunately, science and technology haven't gotten to the point where that's possible yet. However, there are ways that you can bring yourself back to the good old days of when you were a kid and relive some of the nostalgia.
Probably the easiest way to relive your childhood is to re-watch TV shows you watched when you were a kid. For example, I watched a lot of cartoons as a kid. I still watch cartoons to this day, many of which are cartoons I watched when I was younger. I enjoy the good memories I get from watching shows like "Ed, Edd n Eddy," "Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends" and "Rugrats." There are many times when I watch these kinds of cartoons now where I find myself remembering exact times when I watched them years ago. I remember exactly where I was when I was watching a certain episode. Sometimes I even remember exactly what parts of an episode I laughed it. It truly is a magical experience.
Another thing you can do is play a game you used to play as a kid. For example, when I was a kid, I played Yu-Gi-Oh! quite a bit. I kind of grew out of it after a while and stopped playing for a few years, but I started playing again a couple years ago and all the good memories of me plying the game back in the day immediately came back. Even though the game has changed a lot over the years, I still enjoy playing a game that I grew up with. I've played the game on and off since it first came to the United States and I've always been a fan of it. Playing any game you used to play as a child can bring back good memories of past times you played the game.
Finally, you can do something you did as a child. For example, I rode Thomas the Tank Engine for the first time about twelve years ago at a Thomas the Tank Engine 60th Anniversary festival. Five years later, I did so again at a Six Flags. This past weekend, I did so again at the Edaville USA amusement park. I didn't care that I was much older than the target demographic. That didn't stop me from enjoying myself.
At the end of the day, nobody can be a child forever. That being said, you can relive your childhood whenever and however you want. It's always great to relive good memories.
