16 Ed Sheeran Lyrics That Are So #Relatable, They're Almost Not

It's that time ladies and gents. I feel like I've been waiting for this moment specifically to share just these lyrics. For some reason, if you don't know who he is, Ed Sheeran is an English singer-songwriter. Having released many top hits and currently on his third headlining tour, he's the talk of the world.

I recently had the luxury of seeing him on tour when he came to my home city, and he never disappoints. This was my third time seeing him perform live and I don't know how, but he just gets better and better every time.

Sheeran is known for writing songs about love and relationships, heartache and heartbreak, friendships and losses. And somehow we all feel like we can relate to every single song, even if we can't, right?!

To keep it short and sweet, here are 16 so relatable that they're not relatable lyrics by the man, Ed Sheeran himself, all from his most recent album "Divide." Or really just my favorite lyrics that I think need more recognition.

1. "Eraser."

"I think that money is the root of evil and fame is hell / Relationships and hearts you fixed, they break as well"

2. "Castle on the Hill."

"Made friends and lost them through the years / And I've not seen the roaring fields in so long, I know I've grown"

3. "Dive."

"And I could, I could die / Hanging on the words you say"

4 "Shape of You."

"We talk for hours and hours about the sweet and the sour / And how your family is doing okay"

5. "Perfect."

"I never knew you were the someone waiting for me / 'Cause we were just kids when we fell in love"

6. "Galway Girl."

"I swear I'm gonna put you in a song that I write / About a Galway girl and a perfect night"

7. "Happier."

"I knew one day you'd fall for someone new / But if he breaks your heart like lovers do / Just know that I'll be waiting here for you"

8. "New Man."

"You're still a young girl tryin' to be loved / So let me give it to ya"

9. "Heart's Don't Break Around Here."

"I feel safe when you're holding me near / Love the way that you conquer your fear"

10. "What Do I Know?"

"Love could change the world in a moment / But what do I know?"

11. "How Would You Feel (Paean)."

"I'll be taking my time, spending my life / Falling deeper in love with you"

12. 'Supermarket Flowers."

"A heart that's broke is a heart that's been loved" and "A life with love is a life that's been lived"

13. Barcelona.

"I feel in love with the sparkle in the moonlight / Reflected in your beautiful eyes"

14. "Bibia Be Ye Ye."

"I tell myself in every way, "I won't be doing this again" / And tomorrow's a brand new day"

15. "Nancy Mulligan."

"Never had I seen such beauty before / The moment I saw her"

16. "Save Myself."

"So before I save someone else, I've got to save myself / And before I blame someone else, I've got to save myself / And before I love someone else, I've got to love myself"

And here are, 16 songs later, 16 (and then some) lines later, of lyrics we may or may not be able to relate to but will say we relate to none the less.

Obviously, as every song lyric is, it's all of what you make of you. It's only as relatable as it can be to your life. But nonetheless, Ed Sheeran is still a lyrical genius and has a way of making any human possible feel absolutely everything with his songs.

Shameless plug, if you're debating whether or not to see him in concert, I highly recommend. Not only is he an amazing lyricist, he is a magnificent performer and totally lives with the crowd.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
