It's that time of the semester! Classes are finally wrapping up and final exams are just around the corner. As if you aren't stressed out enough already, your class registration date for the upcoming semester is also quickly approaching.
It is a week before you need to register for classes. A few things to consider:
-What classes do I HAVE to take for my major?
-What GE's do I have left again?
-Hmm how can I schedule this so that I don't have Friday classes?
-Is it possible to take classes with my friends?
It is the day of your registration and you have mapped out the PERFECT schedule.
However, when you check online half of the classes you want to take are already full. So, you map out your "second" schedule and hope for the best.
-Can I still avoid Friday classes?
-Does this GE at least have an OK professor?
It is both the day and the time of your registration.
You click submit and it "fails" because the second round of classes you want are also full. You decide to only register for your major classes because thankfully you have D-Clearance. You continue checking daily, more like hourly, to see if any of the classes you want open up. No luck.
It is now winter break and you still are only registered for 12 units or so.
Your parents begin to question you as to why you don't have a full schedule and why you can't just take a Friday class. They just don't understand.
Winter break is ending and you still have only registered for 12 units.
Luckily, in my experience at least, students begin to panic about their schedules and drop/add classes. Finally! A spot in the Tuesday/Thursday lecture has opened up! You press submit as quickly as humanly possible. You get the last spot. SUCCESS!
Classes begin and the stress regarding registration quickly fades.
Before you know it finals are approaching and so is your class registration for the upcoming semester...
