One thing that we often forget to do in going through life every day is process—process conversations, comments, interactions, tragic and joyful events, etc.. Sometimes it's hard to clear your head. I find that sometimes the right song helps me rest enough to then think about what's happening within and around me. Here are five I particularly enjoy!
"Dance Slow Decades" - Angel Olsen
This Mazzy Star-esque tune is great for reflecting with the sunset.
"Song of the Sun" - Timbre
You might describe this one as enchanting, you might describe it as cheery. It's definitely both.
"All the Trees of the Field Will Clap Their Hands" - Sufian Stevens
Stevens never disappointing--even with his grand musical versatility.
"Clearing" - Grouper
Quiet and quivering, this one is for a rainy day.
"Another Weekend" - Ariel Pink
While I just love the way this song sounds, it also makes me think about the passing of days.
