Red Bull Can You Make It?

50

For anyone skeptical of Red Bull actually giving you wings, an exciting new program is flying 300 adventurous college students over to Europe next month for Red Bull Can You Make It?

Can You Make It challenges its participants to travel to BerlinĀ in one week from starting points in London, Paris, Milan and Vienna.

The catch: teams will be without credit cards, their cars, personal cell phones and have only 24 cans of Red Bull as their currency to make it to Berlin. That means all food, traveling and sleeping arrangements have to be settled by your priceless stash of energy drinks.

Bartering and resourcefulness are the name of the game, and for the 100 three-person teams that Red Bull selects to participate in this event, the game looks like it’s going to be a blast.

The University of Florida will be represented well in the competition by Tessa Syvertsen, Kate Wenzel and Natalie Palmer,Ā three fun-loving UF studentsĀ who will be traveling to Europe as The Beach Bull Blondies.

Out of the 100 teams selected, they are one of just ten American teams that will be eagerly departing from their starting locations on April 4. You can see all of the selected teams at redbullcanyoumakeit.com/teams.

There are thirty checkpoints throughout the journey to Berlin, which if visited, will reward teams with a fun challenge that could result in more cans of Red Bull.Ā The rules are strict though. There’s no sabotaging other teams, no prearranged travel plans, no frequent flier miles and basically no shortcuts.

This certainly isn’t for the casual sightseer; you’d better be quick on your feet and sharp on your wits to make it to the finish line in Berlin in a week. Make it there by 5 p.m. on April 11 though, and you’re in for one heck of a party, Red Bull style.

Red Bull Can You Make It promises to be an exciting adventure for those serious enough for the challenge. Enjoy watching the ride this year, and send in an application next year if you think you have got what it takes. Better hope they’re thirsty over in Europe!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
