Recruitment is definitely one of the most rewarding, yet longest week of your life. You will learn so many things about yourself you never knew and in the end you will eventually find your new home and a whole group of new best friends/sisters for life. It will be a week filled with ups and downs but it will be one of the best weeks of your life yet. It is an experience you will never forget and it will change your life for the better.
1. When your recruitment group leader tells you there is no talking to boys for an entire week.
2. When you realize you have to wake up at 7 A.M., at the latest, every single morning.
3. Waking up the first day of recruitment week.
4. When you show up to your first house on the first day and they start singing at you as soon as they open the door.
5. Your response when the recruiter asks you to tell her a little about yourself.
6. Waiting to get your schedule in the morning to see what houses you’re getting to be visiting that day.
7. When you finally pick out the perfect outfit for a specific day of recruitment.
8. Coming to terms with the fact that this will undoubtedly be one of the longest, and most exhausting weeks of your life.
9. Running late when you’re supposed to be all ready... and you’re not even dressed yet.
10. When you have a break in between parties.
11. When someone asks how you’re doing through this process and you cannot show any weakness.
12. Running in heels, trying to make it to the different chapters on time with only ten minutes in between parties.
13. When you have become so delirious throughout the week that all you can think about is food.
14. When you try to explain to people why you are in such a bad mood and so tired at the end of the day.
15. Trying to explain to someone the huge decisions you have to make at the end of the week.
16. Opening up your bid on the final day.
17. When you finally run home to your rush crush.
18. Entering your new home on bid day and picturing what you have to look forward to with your best friends/sisters for the next four years and the rest of your life.
Good Luck!
