You should most definitely be hugging any sorority girl you encounter over these first few weeks of school.

Whether you are a Rho Gamma, being an amazing support system for all of the PNM’s, or even if you are on the inside of recruitment, the ones actually recruiting new members to their chapters—recruitment is probably one of the most amazing, stressful, and longest week of any girls life.

Those girls are waking up at the crack of dawn and staying up through the night to prepare their houses and their members to recruit new members. It is an amazing experience from whatever side you are on, but it can also be a crazy week...Especially for all of the new girls going through recruitment. It can be scary wondering, "Who will take me back each day? What if I get cut from my favorites ones?"

By Video Day, doubt crosses everyone's mind, but you just have to keep thinking of the end goal and think about what you want out of a sorority ... and stick true to that! But, for every girl that goes through recruitment, I think they can honestly say that in the end it was worth all of the stress, doubt, and fear. To be able to run home to more than just a group of girls, but to a life-long sisterhood that will never let you down ... is truly incredible.
