With recruitment right around the corner there are feelings of excitement, nervousness, angst, and everything in between.
First Day Jitters
Get excited for a crazy two weeks. You've had your three shots of espresso and you're killing it in the generic shirt and jeans. You're ready to conquer sorority row and you feel on top of the world!
Pi Chis Yell And Take Your Coat Away
I'm definitely not freezing my butt off in 40-degree weather. The constant screaming is also a great touch. It's a good thing that I'll be in the house soon!
Someone Brings Up The 5 B's In A Conversation
Sometimes it slips out, believe me. Just try and move the conversation in a different direction!
When You Have Had An Amazing Conversation With A Sister And You Never Want To Leave
This is one of the most fun parts of recruitment. Personally, I love meeting people, but when you really click with someone it just makes your day!
After The First Weekend
It can be really tiring, but you'll be okay. The nice thing about recruitment is that it's broken up into two weekends, so make sure to sleep a lot during the week!
Picking Outfits For Each Day
There are specific guidelines on how to dress, but don't stress too much. Wear what you already have and add your own spin to your outfits.
Dead Week
This is when PNMs (potential new members) and sisters are not allowed to speak to each other. This is also the most nerve-wracking time since you don't know who called you back until the end of the week.
You Try To Understand The System
The Pi Chis constantly tell you that everything is going to work out. Believe them. Even being on the other side of recruitment doesn't make the system clear. Just be yourself and you'll find the perfect house for you.
Trying To Describe Your Recruitment Crush
This is the girl who will completely understand you. I've already picked up a few during Novemberfest, but you'll probably meet a lot!
Girl Flirting 101
Honestly, this is the reputation that recruitment has, but we're trying to impress you more than you're trying to impress us! Just act normal and just have a fluid conversation. (It'll be best for both sides!)
Bid Day
You're finally done with recruitment and you can run home and meet all of your new sisters! Get ready for a completely new family and lots of memories up ahead!
