A Recipe For Any Occasion

If you're a fan of chocolate, ice cream, and oreos...this is the dessert for you. It is good for many occasions, especially around the holidays. After watching a video from @DIYRecipes on Twitter, I recorded the ingredients. Follow these steps and prepare your tastebuds. This is a recipe for Mint Oreo Lasagna:

Step 1: Find a pan. One like the kind in the image below will do.

Step 2: Find two medium sized mixing bowls.

Step 3: Crush Mint Oreos into small pieces. They will be the first item in your first mixing bowl. The amount of Oreos depends on the size of the pan. It just needs to be enough to cover the bottom.

Step 4: Measure 1/4 cup of melted butter and pour it into a mixing bowl with the oreos. Mix them together.

Step 5: Apply cooking spray to the bottom of the pan and pour the buttery oreos in. Pat them down flat. This is the bottom layer of your lasagna.

Step 6: Put slightly melted mint ice cream on top of the bottom layer. This will be layer two.

Step 7: Freeze the pan for one hour. While it is freezing, begin to work on the third and fourth layers (step 8).

Step 8: The second mixing bowl will be needed. Add 8 ounces of cream cheese, 2 tablespoons of heavy cream, 1/4 cup of sugar, 8 ounces of cool whip, and one teaspoon of mint extract. Mix them together.

Step 9: After the hour is up, cover the oreos and the ice cream with chocolate pudding.

Step 10: Put the cream you made in step 8 on top of the pudding layer. Sprinkle more crushed oreos on top - as many as you'd like - and freeze for another 30 minutes.

Viola! Your Mint Oreo Lasagna is finished! Make sure it is thawed before eating.

If you tried this recipe, comment how it turned out! Thank you!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
