SPOILER ALERT

In the 13th season opener, Owen and Amelia are married at last. Riggs is still trying to get into a relationship with Meredith. DeLuca is taken out of the ambulance and is brought to the emergency room. All the doctors began working on him. They all ask at different times what happened to him. Alex being the one that beat him up badly. He beat him up when coming home to see DeLuca on top of Jo. But Jo was drunk and DeLuca was trying to control her. Everything was a misunderstanding. Alex ignores the questions being asked to him. They get a call at the wedding and Meredith lets everyone know that DeLuca was headed to the emergency room.

The police arrived at the hospital. Meredith and Dr. Weber go to Alex and Jo's apartment. Meredith looks at the blood stains on the floor and the items on the floor. Immediately, she knows that Alex did it. She comes to the hospital and tells him to lie saying he fell in the rain. She told him to say that because of how bruised his hand was from beating up DeLuca. Jo and Dr. Weber stay together. Jo sneaks out the door. Maggie, DeLuca's ex-girlfriend, goes to see him in his room. She offers to call his mother.

Miranda asks Avery how Kepner and their baby are doing. In the next scene, Avery's mother, who is played by the famous Debbie Allen, is holding her newly born granddaughter, when Kepner tells her the name of the baby, Harriet.

Maggie and Meredith are in the room looking at the DeLuca's CT scan. (Remember in season 12's finale, Maggie thought Riggs was looking at her and he was actually looking at Meredith.) Maggie behaves strangely when Riggs enters the room. Riggs believes she is in love with DeLuca. (Riggs does not like Maggie.) Alex is confronted by Jo. He is under the impression that DeLuca was trying to force himself on Jo.

She is trying to explain what really happen but Alex keeps interrupting her. Stephanie comes to try to talk to Jo, while she's cleaning out her locker and throwing things away. Jo tells Stephanie what happened. Stephanie tells this information to Meredith, who transfers this information to Alex. Now, he feels very stupid. As Jo is walking out of the hospital to get away, Dr. Weber stops her. He motivates Jo to stay. She goes to visit DeLuca and Alex walks in the room. DeLuca, upon seeing Alex, gets scared and starts screaming.

In the last scenes, Riggs comes to sit with Meredith. She asks him whether or not she should do something she did not want to do. He nonchalantly answers, "Do it."

Meredith goes to Miranda and tells her it was Alex that beat up DeLuca. Miranda and Meredith are trying to get to Alex before the police. Before Miranda could come talk to him, he had already confessed to the police. He is seen handcuffed and being brought down the main stairwell.

Maggie becomes mad at Meredith because she lied when asked if she knew anything about it. Maggie says, "So you were going to lie to everyone." Maggie feels betrayed because Meredith lied to her.

Meredith says she would be honest with Maggie "from here on out." Maggie believes her and everything seems okay between them two. Riggs comes to Meredith's house looking for answers to a question asked at the wedding. She denies having love for him. She knows Maggie loves him. She goes to visit Alex in jail.

Needless to say, this was a great episode.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
