Although a girl's father is arguably the most important man in her life, not enough credit is given to her brother. A brother is the only person who has been there for you since birth, knows all your annoying habits, and still puts up with you. No one else has seen me throw tons of temper tantrums and be an absolute pest, and still unconditionally loved me.
1. Thank you for taking up for me and threatening to beat someone up whenever they were mean to me. There have been times where I have been terrified to tell you what an ex has done to break my heart, because I knew you wouldn't be happy about it.
2. Thank you for looking out for me and protecting me. This started from day one and we have videos of you taking care of me as a newborn baby and making sure I didn't put anything in my mouth. The bonding we shared at a young age will last for a lifetime.
2. Thank you for making all the wrong decisions first, so mom and dad were already well prepared when it was my turn.
3. Thank you for making me appreciate you more when I got older, even though there have been times where we have fought like cats and dogs. With almost five years separating us, we were on completely different age levels and I never understood why you would always kick me out of your room. I now understand that it was more to do with our age difference and me being a little girl than it was anything else.
4. Thank you for giving me the two most beautiful nieces I could have ever asked for.
5. Thank you for being someone I can look up to and for being a positive role model. You are such a hard worker and have the strongest work ethic of anyone I've ever met, besides my daddy. I strive every day to be more like you and stop caring what everyone else thinks.
I'm so thankful for you and I wouldn't trade you for anyone else. I'm so glad God gave me an older brother other than a sister like I used to hope for.
