Work is not fun, let's all agree to that, but when you work with your best friends it makes it a million times better. Knowing that you can get paid to hang out with your favorite people is the best feeling in the world.
1. You always have someone to cover your shifts
I know the one thing everyone loves is having someone to cover your shift if you need it or even if you just want a day off, and I mean come on....you best friends can't say no to you.
2. You have someone to vent to
At work, there are ALWAYS those days where something goes wrong and after that everything else just sucks. If you need someone to scream to because somebody just complained about the stupidest thing that they know you cannot fix, turn to your friend and VENT. It's the best, I swear.
3. It makes work easier
I know that from working with some of my best friends, I am able to fix problems easier. It is easier to tell someone you are comfortable with that they are doing something wrong than someone you don't know.
4. It makes work go by faster
Of course during work, you should be WORKING but to make it go by faster you gotta have a little fun right? You could gossip, pass a ball, take selfies, anything!!!! At least make the shift worth it, am I right?
5. An easy dinner date after work
I work at a summer camp with kids in the summer, and I know after every shift I look at my friend and we say "Wanna go get food after this?" and we do it every time! As if we aren't spending enough time together already, we spend more and then we talk about all of the things that went wrong at work. It is the best therapy, food and venting to your BFF.
6. Carpooling
I have had those mornings where I go to get in my car and my empty gas tank light comes on and I know I won't make it to work on time if I stop to get gas. Don't feel like being late or spending money on gas that day like me? EASY, call your bff and you'll avoid both!
7. You get to spend even more time together
I manage a pool with my best friends and I love how it allows me to see them all day and then after work as well. Sometimes, we even have sleepovers at each others house and then carpool to work again the next day because why leave each other, right?
8. You can talk about your work crushes during shift
I know that for many of you there have been numerous amounts of cute guys who have worked with you and your bff and you both cannot get over him. Cute guys make work fun, but talking about him with your best friend is even better.
9. You have someone to run ideas by before taking them to your boss
Say you're working on a big project your boss wants you to do, you want it to be the best it can possibly be right? Well, I know all of our best friends would be brutally honest so if you work with them you can tell them your project idea and get their opinion. They can tell you what you need to work on, or if it is amazing so that you feel more confident bringing it to your boss!
10. You have someone to celebrate your success with
As you both become more successful, you will both understand how much it means to one another because you both work at the same job! Having someone by your side 100% for promotions and accomplishments is the best feeling ever.
11. You always have someone to play pranks on
Best friends are not best friends unless you mess around with each other, so why not prank them where they would least expect it? Put a fake snake under their desk, or a smoke bomb in their desk and get the best reaction of your life! But be professional of course.
