1. Reunited and it feels so good.
There isn't a better feeling than getting together with all of your closest friends after spending the summer apart. After countless FaceTime sessions and road trips just to see them, the wait has finally come to an end. You're all back at the place you love the most, and its time to binge on Bev's and make as many trips to flat rocks as possible before the temperature falls.
2. Syllabus week.
Ah yes, the beloved and most anticipated first week of classes. By day, your classes consist of syllabus reviews and icebreakers. By night, your options include frat parties, or bars, or hell, why not both? It is syllabus week. And what better way is there to finish off the perfect night than with Calio's $3 Calzones?
3. You are the richest you will ever be all semester.
Every single snippet of post summer small talk involves the typical "How was your summer?" "Not bad, just worked a lot." convo. That's right, you worked your butt off for 3 full months just so you can blow all of that hard earned cash in the land you love to call your second home. What's the best part about it all? Your dining dollars are back and fully loaded.
4. No parents, no problems.
Lets be honest, along with the return home for summer comes the constant nagging of your parents. The, "Where are you going? Who are you going with? Who's gonna be there? What time will you be back?" resumes, and your head threatens to explode with stress. Luckily, being back at school means that the nagging vanishes, and you're finally able to do what you would like to do on your own terms.
Saying goodbye to summer might have been rough for some, but I assure you that first few weeks of school are the best they will ever be. Live out the moments you'll be wishing you had back when stressing over 10-page papers and 45-minute speeches. So kick back, relax, and enjoy the beginning of the semester while it lasts!
