Fall. Autumn. Whatever you like to call it, it's my favorite season. It's a lot of people's favorite season. I personally don't like to label myself or others, but many of us "basic" girls find fall to be the best. I can say that shame-free. I hope you can too. I mean, from it's undeniably amazing pumpkin flavored coffee to it's beautiful scenery and doable weather, fall is the perfect season compared to the others. Summer is too hot, winter is too cold and spring has too much rain, but the fall time, or autumn time, is magnificent.

I am going to get all "justgirlythings" up in here. So here are why many of us "basic" girls are excited for fall:

1. "Gilmore Girls" comes back.

Need I say more? This is probably why I am most excited for fall to be honest. Well, that's a lie. I just love fall, but like "Gilmore Girls?" Yes. I've watched and rewatched too many shows and I need something new, especially something I know I am going to fall in love with.

2. The scenery and foliage.

In the fall time, there is nothing like taking a walk through all of the crusty leaves on the ground, but looking up to see the most colorful forest of orange, red, yellow and green leaves on the tallest of trees. Look at me, being all poetic. It's the excitement for fall. That's what it is.

3. The fashion trends.

I can finally pull out all of my super baggy sweatshirts and wear them with my leggings and moccasins or boots, and throw on a scarf like autumn threw up on me! Or I can dress super cute with a sweater and jeans and boots, the options are endless and many of us dress our best during fall. And it's totally OK, because I know all of the rest of you look just like me!

4. Coffee.

I said the c word. Coffee. That's right, you heard me. Coffee is good anytime, but like, what's better than sitting around in my baggy warm clothes while watching the new "Gilmore Girls" with a cup of coffee on the side? That's right, nothing.

5. Going to football games.

This is mostly for you high school girls out there. It was always the thing to go to the home games on Fridays with a group of your galfriends, or your significant other, or whatever, to either just walk around with a lot of food from the concession stands, or sit in the student section with a lot of food from the concession stands. Your choice.

6. Picking your pumpkin from the patch and carving your pumpkin.

I used to love going to the pumpkin patches with school then bring it home and draw my design on it to cut out. The only downside to this is gutting the pumpkin. Use lots of newspaper, kids.

7. Halloween.

It's that time. I love Halloween. You can dress up with your squad if you want, or you can not dress up and just buy yourself a ton of candy and sit around and watch scary or Halloween-themed movies. My favorites have always been the Disney ones like "Twitches" or "Halloweentown," but my all time favorite Halloween movie is, you guessed it, "Hocus Pocus."

8. School breaks come fast.

This is true. Thanksgiving and Christmas breaks are literally around the corner. That brings me to my next thing.

9. Thanksgiving dinner.

Time to gather around the turkey folks, it's time to eat! And remember all that you are grateful for in life. Don't forget that. That's the most important.

10. Black Friday shopping.

YES. Every "basic" girl loves her shopping. Many of us just go to get the great sales for ourselves, but if you're like me and like to shop for others, this is the ideal time for that Christmas shopping.

This concludes all of the many reasons why we "basic" girls are too excited for fall. It's quite amazing either way and I don't wish to add labels onto you guys, so I hope that everyone can relate to this article in some way or another. Enjoy the rest of the summer, and I hope it goes fast! I want autumn to come quicker!
