Reasons to Love Sundays

Don't blame them for being filled with homework and sleep deprivation.

Some people cannot stand Sundays while others look forward to it. It can be a productive day or a sleep-in and do-nothing day. Whatever you make it, it's the day that comes before the roughest one. Avoid the Monday scaries for as long as possible by really taking your Sunday lightly, elongating it as much as possible -- with a little bit of coffee to keep you going. Enjoy the last hoorah before the week hits you hard.

1. Nothing really is as easy as a Sunday morning.

Lionel Richie said it best. Whether you spend it in bed, at a coffee shop, on a run, or being productive, there's just something about it.

2. Talking to your friends about everything that happened that weekend will never get old.

Even though they were by your side for every moment of it, it's fun to rehash the details, especially over a good brunch.

3. Speaking of brunch...

You can (justifiably?) spend inordinate amounts of time eating that meal that is somewhere between breakfast and lunch. Hey, if you do it right, you could continue it into dinner.

4. One word: sleep.

That feeling of sleeping super late and still being tired can seem rough but it does give you an excuse to go back to bed in the middle of the day. Take that nap, we all know you want to.

5. "Sunday Funday"

If you're lucky enough to go to a school that celebrates this (not really existent) holiday, bask in it. If you're in the real world and have a squad to make your own Sunday Funday with, bask in that, too. If you're not lucky enough for either of those -- work on that -- or just look up the definition of it on Urban Dictionary and live vicariously through that.

6. So. Much. Football.

Even if your team is terrible, football games are fun to watch -- the snacks are even better.

7. Avoiding Monday.

Who doesn't love a good "let's act like the real world doesn't exist" attitude?

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Whether you met your new love interest online, through mutual friends, or another way entirely, you'll definitely want to know what you're getting into. Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
