Without a doubt, Tina Fey is one of the most relatable and inspiring celebrities of our time. She has paved a way for women in comedy by being the first female head writer onSaturday Night Live" and writing a movie that is still quoted regularly twelve years later,Mean Girls.” She also created, wrote and starred in the NBC comedy,30 Rock,” which has won countless awards. Her autobiography,Bossypants,” shares with the world her struggles of being a woman in comedy and how being determined and slightly awkward can help one find success. She is an incredible role model for people of all ages and she teaches us that it’s okay to be quirky, fearless and confident. There are so many reasons why she should be everyone's spirit animal.

1. She knows the value of self-motivation.

On being Tina Fey she said, “I am constantly amazed by Tina Fey. And I am Tina Fey.” Whether it’s being brutally honest about who she is through her writing, or never being afraid to be bossy, Tina Fey is always confident. Her self-assured attitude is inspiring to all of us who struggle with embracing our inner nerd.

2. She eats what she wants.

Tina Fey has actually been an advocate of healthy eating and in her book, "Bossypants," writes about losing weight at one point in her life. But, just because she became more wary of her eating habits doesn’t mean she doesn’t experience the cravings and love affairs with food we are all too familiar with. Her "30 Rock" character, Liz Lemon, when hearing the word “lovers” said, “Oh that word bums me out unless it’s between meat and pizza.”

3. She knows the importance of a strong friendship.

Tina Fey and Amy Poehler’s iconic friendship has been inspiring to friendships for over a decade. Their bond is much deeper than the “Every brunette needs a blonde best friend” tagline. They are two bold, independent and witty individuals who are unstoppable when they are together. They are, or at least should be, everyone’s friendship goals. Who wouldn’t want to host the Golden Globes with their best friend?

4. She knows what she wants.

One of Liz Lemon’s reoccurring lines throughout the series of "30 Rock" was, “I want to go there.” Whether it was an actual place or even just food, she shows us we need to go out and grasp what we want in life. Tina Fey began her career by working at a YMCA in Chicago to pay for her improvisation classes at Second City (improv troupe based out of Chicago), where she later joined the comedy team. Today, she rules the comedy world.

5. She has rough days too.

What we love about Tina Fey is that she is real. She is never afraid to tell someone like it is and many times shares her true feelings in interviews. This makes her not only more entertaining, but also a stimulating and relatable paradigm of a real woman in the 21st century.

6. She is unapologetically herself.

Not all of us will have the opportunity to strip down on national television, but we all have the chance to embrace who we are and be unapologetic about it. Tina Fey has showed the world who she is, what she believes in and that she is proud of it. The beauty of this is that it shows success can come from accepting yourself and holding on to it proudly. Tina Fey has taught us that we are daring, that we are courageous and that we are wonderful—and to believe it.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
