10 Reasons To Thank Little Brothers
dailymail.co.uk

Little brothers are not only a pain -- they're a blessing. These are things we need to thank our little brothers for, even though they are brats 99 percent of the time.

1. Thank you for being my best friend all these years.

We may not be as close as we were when we were younger, but you were my first friend and will be my last friend. Thanks for playing with all my Barbie dolls with me and teaching me how to play video games. I still don't know how to play video games, but you did your best so that is all that counts.

2. Thanks for offering to go "take care of" my ex-boyfriends when they did something wrong.

At the time I didn't think this was funny, however looking back on all these years I appreciate your concern for me. Also, I hope you look back on all my boyfriends and learn how to treat a girl right. After all, you have heard me complain about boys for years now.

3. Thanks for not wrecking my car learning how to drive.

This is a big one to thank your little brother for. Just the simple thought that he has his drivers license is scary enough. I don't even know if my little brother is a good driver because I've never had my eyes open when I have been in the car with him, but my car is still in one piece.

4. Thanks for calling my phone panicking when you notice I'm not in my room.

Okay, even mom doesn't do this. I'm glad someone realizes I'm gone when I leave the house. Even if the only reason you call is to see if I'm near a pizza place so I can bring you pizza home for dinner.

5. Thanks for helping me with my math homework because you're a genius.

Math is definitely not my subject and even though my little brother is two years behind me in school, he is the reason I pass math.

6. Thanks for giving me the forever scar from pushing me off your bunk bed so many years ago.

That one hurt and you'll never hear the end of it so I would sleep with one eye open.

7. Thanks for not telling on me after I pushed you down the stairs.

I pushed you down the stairs a lot so I probably deserved to be pushed off the bunk bed anyway.

8. Thanks for cutting the hair off of all of my stuffed animals.

This one I really shouldn't be thanking him for, but I'm glad he cut my stuffed animals hair and not mine.

9. Thanks for being my excuse to leave class in elementary school because your teacher would need my help finding you.

He used to disappear from class a lot. Sneaking out the doors was always so easy for him and I never could figure out how he did it.

10. Most importantly, thanks for being my number one fan and always having my back no matter what.

My little brother will always be the first person I call when I'm in trouble. I can bang his bedroom door down at 3 a.m. and know that he'd wake up and want to know what's going on. He will always be my number one fan and I'll always be his. He was my first friend growing up, and will be my last friend. Little brothers are something to be thankful for whether we admit it or not, so take some time to thank them for things because you need them more than you realize you do.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
