I Will Never Adopt a Guinea Pig, And Here's Why

For the majority of pet owners out there, most probably own a dog, cat, or maybe even both. Ever thought of adopting a guinea pig, though? Probably not, and I don't blame you. It's not the first pet that comes to mind for most people, and here is why.

They’re wild and unpredictable.

They don’t get along with other animals.

They're unintelligent creatures.

They hate human contact.

They don’t like sharing.

They don’t provide any entertainment.

They aren't even that cute.

Hopefully, by now, you realize that guinea pigs are actually the best pet you could ever own. Not only are they irresistibly cute and fluffy, they provide their owners with lots of spunky entertainment. They're sweet little critters who love attention and will curl up and cuddle with you on any day. Underrepresented and underappreciated, guinea pigs finally need the attention they deserve for being fluffy bundles of cuteness who are ready to be your forever friend.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register.
