Not only are they the worse kind of shoes ever, they are the worst for your feet.
Sure, men like them and high-end designers like Christian Louboutin say, “the higher the better,” but that’s easy for them to say. Why should women believe that wearing 6-inch heels will make them look “better?” The price of beauty is NOT pain. There are several ways women can feel sexy and confident, wearing torturing heels shouldn’t be one of them, no matter how nice and tall they make you look.
1. If you can’t walk in them, don’t doubt that the public WILL think you have had your fair share of vodka.
Also, pretty sure it’s an unprofessional look at work.
2. The pain is so unbearable you have to apologize to whoever is nearby for watching you do this
3. Most common mistake: You think you’ll be able to hang with them for the rest of the day so you don’t bring extra flats.
4. They make you feel like you want nothing more than to sit down somewhere for the rest of your life
5. The pain is 10 times worse when you put them back on after taking them off.
6. Being unable to feel your toes after a while of being on your feet.
7. Walking at a grandma’s pace to avoid injuring yourself.
Just avoid your employer from telling you this.8. Attempting to run. Ha!
9. The burning sensation at the ball of your foot, the one that almost kills you.
Prepare yourselves.
10. Shooting pains in your arches that come and go like a pregnant woman’s contractions.
11. Telling yourself you’ll never wear heels again.
12. But who are you kidding, you’ll go through it all over again for the sake of looking your best.
13. Just be aware these glamorous artifacts cause hammertoes and bunions. Eww, right?
On a more serious note, however, heels really can cause body damage. Wearing them significantly over time can cause muscle fatigue, weaker tendons, shortened muscles and are prone to injuries when switching to flats or sneakers because the joints have distorted. Also, lack of balance, back pains and fatigue.
If heels are the only thing that boost your confidence then by all means, walk that walk, just know that you don't need them to look or feel your best.
