14 Reasons Why Your Early 20s Are A Weird Age

Something that I have gathered over the last couple of years is that your early 20s are a weird age. It's a time where you get to do new things. It's a time where you meet all new people and move to a new place. It's also a time to find out who you really are.

We all tend to complain about the majority of things that we have to do, but at the end of the day, we all realize that it's some of the best years of our lives.

1. You lose some of your best friends, yet you gain some of the greatest friends you've ever met.

2. You have a wide variety of friends.

3. You have no idea what you are doing with your life and you are pressured to know.

4. You are finding out who you truly are even though you feel like you are a mess 100% of the time.

5. You are absolutely broke, but still manage to buy booze, food, books, and pay for rent.

6. You are drinking an excessive amount of alcohol, and it's completely normal.

7. It's a time to completely start over.

8. You meet all new people, and you are trying to figure out what place they have in your life and what your previous (hometown) friends mean to you.

9. You get to spend a huge amount of money studying abroad, and it's the smartest thing to do.

10. You feel like everyone is dating someone around you, and you think that you will be single for the rest of your life.

11. You can be awake for an excessive amount of time and still function.

12. You can/need to take naps every day.

13. You aren't ready for the real world, and you are pushed into it whether you like it or not.

14. You are having the best time of your life

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
