1. They're always there to listen.

Let’s be real- they may not be able to answer but you know they’re listening. Whether you need to vent about your day or just talk to someone who won’t interrupt you, your dog will always be there. And, no- you’re not crazy for talking to your dog. Everyone does it. Right?

2. They're just as weird as you (if not more.)

If I had a dollar for every time my dog did something super weird, I’d be able to pay off my college loans. Dogs don’t think everything through and when they mess up, it’s pretty funny. Dogs are your best friends and a personal comedian all in one.

3. They make any bad day a good one.

When you’ve had an especially rough day, the best thing is going home to your pup waiting for you at the door. Having a stressful day and you can’t see your dog that day? Pull up a picture of your dog and you’ll be a-okay.

4. If you need a cuddle buddy, they're there.

Forget a significant other. Your dog is more than likely down to cuddle or at least lay near you. I’d take cuddling with my dog over a person any day.

5. Unconditional love is what they're best at.

Dogs don’t care about your weight, race, gender or whether you’ve showered in a week. They love you the minute they meet you until the day they die. If you’re afraid people will judge you for something you’ve done, don’t worry. Your dog’s got your back.

There’s a reason they say dogs are man’s best friend. Honestly, most dogs are super weird but they’ll love you more than most people will. So, make sure to give your dog a hug (and maybe a treat or two) for simply being your best friend.
